Great bag
By far the best bag of this type have brought. Fits alot and is so easy to open and put clothes in due to the way it opens up like a case. Nice pockets at front that fit quite a lot. Also comfy to carry and does not fall over when placed on floor. Quite pricey but a great buy.

Genuinely a bit special in yellow
I recently took a family of 4 to India with an array of hang luggage-sized Osprey bags to avoid having a large suitcase to lug around small taxis and trains etc. This approach also helps as progressively packing and getting out of hotels is less stressful than having a single suitcase. This expandable bag delivered a number of things that I liked about it: 1. The yellow colour is much darker and more subdued than it appears in product photography, but you can always see it, remember to pick it up, spot your partner in a crowd and feel relaxed that it hasnt been keft behind etc. The fact it is darker than advertised means it doesnt look too garish as a day bag, and in hotel lobbies etc. Yes, you look like a tourist, but not like a scumbag. 2. The size prior to expansion is a good size for a petite wife to handle. 3. The expansion was eminently useful once we had stocked up on souvenirs etc. It is in a useful direction and the bag becomes deceptively large. 4. As you can see with my obsessive purchasing of Osprey bags, it is just very well made. It looks and feels very good. 5. I preferred this bag over the 44 litre black Daylite rucksack in the same range, which was flappy and unstructured and really is just a roll-on suitcase substitute. This also has little structure to it per se, but the smaller size allows it to keep its shape to a greater degree. I'd be happier using this 26L bag for a work trip, for example. 6. The bottle pockets add greatly to the versatility. 7. The ventillated back panel is of greater use in a daypack in tropical climate than it perhaps seems. I'd still prefer a fully netted back for a daypack, like the black Deuter which was our primary day pack. But when we needed a second day pack as we knew we'd be shopping, the vents made this pack more than a viable option. The chief drawback of this pack is that it is not hugely technical. There are limited pockets and internal wizardry. But its a pack thats in the daylite range, so thats kind of the point of it. The external zipped pockets on the front/top are somewhat useless in my view. Quite challenging to get your hands into once the bag is fully packed, not suitable for frequent use. The other Osprey bag I'd totally recommend is the satchel / handbag shown. That thing is a game changer for a man on holiday. Absolutely loved it. The bottle pocket and other pockets make it especially useful, a great bit of design in that bag. Although perhaps Im just a man discovering how useful handbags are to women. But that bag further cements my appreciation of Osprey's design. Final comment, look at the weight of the zips that Osprey use. Makes such a difference to the use, feel and longevity. Theyre always just that bit heavier than everyone elses. Buy it.

Pros and Cons but Happy Overall. I like the medium size.
Pretty happy with the bag, been indecisive about it for a while but the size is good for many European airlines if you don't pack it to the max (wizzair and Easyjet I tested) and definitely safe as a proper carryon. Some cons: - the bottle pockets seem to lose my bottle a lot, I've attached a carrabiner onto the compression strap to solve this (as I don't like doing it up all the time), -no waist belt (I bought a £5 attachment from Vaude which works perfectly). - no hidden side pockets for passport for example (the top front pocket is nice, but the lower one is kind of too deep without any visability, to save losing things I actually put my little herschel sling bag there (top open) and store things bag in bag which works well. Pros: - seems very high quality, especially at this price point, I have no doubt in the zippers. - comfortable to carry (and I have a bad shoulder so that's saying something) I haven't packed it super heavy but then I would use a different bag for that kind of load. -good size- like I said, works for most airlines as 'personal item' but all as carry on. Can travel with it for a month but also doesn't look out of place as an every day bag- fits all my gym and daily stuff in it. Love th suitcase style opening.

Excellent bag perfect for airline underseat storage.
Fantastic bag that’s just perfect for airline “underseat” storage. I love that the zip goes all the way around so you can open it up fully like a suitcase. Perfect day pack size, roomy enough but not too bulky. Loads of pockets but not so many that you lose things. Even better if you use packing cubes, so that all your stuff doesn’t get all jumbled up and you don’t have to rummage around to find your book or phone charger.

A great travelling companion
I bought this item, as my existing cheap backpack gave up the ghost after several years (zips failed). My wife advised that I should replace with a more robust and quality alternative. After rafts of research, I decided upon this particular backpack and whilst initially hesitant due to the cost, having received and used the backpack, both for an overnight stay (UK) and a 6 day short break (Europe) I can say that I am very impressed and happy with my purchase. The backpacks materials and build are robust and look and feel quality and as a result, it looks like it will last. It is very lightweight and comfortable, even when fully packed and I had no issues with discomfort whilst travelling with it. The backpack also fit perfectly under the seat on the aeroplane I recently travelled on and has a good selection of pockets for various items outside of the main storage compartment, the ability to expand this part of the backpack also came in handy to accommodate the extra bits and bobs I picked up during my trip. As stated, I am very pleased with this item and look forward to getting many years of service from it and as a result would not hesitate to recommend.

I purchased this bag for my son to use on our Italy trip. It’s lightweight but surprisingly spacious, with great organization—multiple pockets, a handy laptop sleeve, and easy-access compartments. The padded straps and breathable back made it comfortable during long days exploring Rome and Florence. Durable, well-made, and the perfect size for trains, day trips Highly recommend!

This backpack feels very high quality, as expected from Osprey. I picked it up on sale and it ended up being an excellent deal. It’s very convenient as a carry-on and fits easily in overhead bins. The side-opening design is a big plus—it opens more like a suitcase, which makes packing and accessing things much easier than a typical top-loading backpack. The expandable feature is also handy when you need a little extra space. Comfortable to carry, well organized, and thoughtfully designed. Great travel pack overall.

Bag seems durable and of good quality product. I also like that it has a slot for luggage handle. Slight downsize if I would prefer a colour such as red, maroon.
