Almost to attractive to use! The knife is unquestionably superior to the standard kitchen knife when cutting into tight areas, making fine cuts to remove skin, or removing layers of fat from meat. The handle lays nicely in my hand and is easy to hold while cutting. Incredibly sharp right out of the box. Certainly not the cheapest knife available but I'd buy it again in an instant.

So out of the box I was very impressed. The knives are very attractive, High quality and very sharp. Found no defects in the craftsmanship. With proper care they will last a lifetime.and yes it is real Damascus. I suggest a roll sharpener for the edge. Don't think u can do better for the price.

DO NOTE WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Arrived beyond dull!!! Took it to my butcher this morning to have him sharpen it. He found a grainy feeling place in the metal not too far from the cutting edge. He did not think it advisable to attempt sharpening it. I guess I have a classy looking piece of scrap metal!
