A must read for all women! Every single poem raised my consciousness of my self-awareness, life journey or connections with the world. I felt like this book was written specifically for me. The author did a phenomenal job creating a body of work that speaks directly to almost every sentiment or experience women commonly face daily. The empowering energy of this book exposes those raw emotions but touches the soul with sweetness and empathy. It will leave you filled with lots of self-love, understanding of human development, and inspiration to live in your truth. Very relatable, I highly recommend this book!

Honey child is book packed with many short but powerful and meaningful poems. It gave me the opportunity to reflect. I've picked up this book and had to set it down to digest the meaning of what was said because I felt like it was speaking of something I had to confront. This book covers many topics including love, growth, pain, peace, self worth, being a child of the diaspora, and more. I’d definitely recommend honey child.

It's a brilliant composition of poems. Going through and reading Marjorie's poems, I truly felt a wave of emotions down to my core. Her emotions were raw and relatable... from the feelings of love, loss, self love and empowerment; it's a great book to read by yourself or with your friends. Be prepared to feel your feelings.
