Professor Maxwell's 4D Augmented Reality Science Kit - Chemistry

If you have been searching for a gift for the kid who seems to have everything, I highly suggest this chemistry set. I purchased this as a birthday gift for my nephew who is 9 years old. This toy completely blew my expectations away; all of the kids in the family really had a fun time playing with it. I wish I had a 4D chemistry set when I was a kid! Whoever came up with the interactive professor is absolutely brilliant! With the professor’s help and the chemistry setup, this really is an amusing way to play while also learning a little something about science. My nephew couldn’t wait to show his dad the projects he created. He even claimed it was more fun than fortnite, which put a smile on my face. I will definitely be getting him the spicebox 4D Science version next; I can imagine the volcano in that set will be just as exciting for my nephew as the rock candy was.

What an awesome product!! I was looking for a unique gift for my friend's 12 year old daughter (who loves all things science/chemistry) and I stumbled upon this item. I decided to take a chance and purchase this since it's the type of thing she likes, plus it's high tech with the VR aspect.. and let me tell you, I'm so glad I bought this because she absolutely LOVES IT!! After you download the app, put on the VR goggles, and open the book, a little virtual professor pops up right on top of the book! Wow!! He guides you through each of the experiments and explains each step very thoroughly so kids can understand and follow along on their own. I was blown away.. It was amazing! Plus the kit comes with everything you need for the chemistry experiments, so it's super fun and easy! I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting to buy a fun, high-tech, learning game/toy for their kids. Plus it works with any phone!

I have been an elementary school teacher in California for 13 years, and I am always looking for creative, educational and exciting gifts for my family and friends. I was pleasantly surprised when this product was recommended to me by a colleague. I ended up purchasing one for myself (I thought there may be parts I could use in my classroom) and one for my nephew, who is 9. I was beyond impressed with the quality of the kit, the ease of use, and the detailed, yet kid friendly explanations used to teach the information needed to complete the experiments. In California we are incorporating STEM experiments daily and this kit fits right in. This kit can easily be used in any classroom from grades 1-5 or higher. I can also see why parents are so excited to get this for their kids. Kids are able to complete the experiments totally independently with the help of virtual Professor Maxwell, guiding them through the steps. My nephew loved it and wants the next kit for his birthday! Overall, it is a winning product, and I am excited to try the next one!

My kids loved this! They were always kinda into science, but this thing really put their curiosity into overdrive. The materials used for the science experiments were extremely high quality. The experiments were well thought out and had my kids engaged for hours. The AR feature was really cool because the little character provided them with direction on the experiments. The app and goggles were easy to use. Overall, this was a great buy at only $40.

Wow. This is an amazing toy. I loved the quality of the product, the simplicity, and the fun interaction that myself, my wife, and my kids could enjoy. This is really one of the best purchases I've ever made for my kids, and I can't wait to get another one! I've had it for a while now, and we keep on using it over and over again, it just seems to get more interesting each time. Bravo to the creators of this product, and keep up the good work! I never write reviews but this chemistry set was so awesome I had to. I bought Professor Maxwell's 4D Chemistry for my 9 year old, who isn't necessarily a "science kid" but the concept of an Augmented Reality Chemistry Lab seemed really cool and I thought she may be into it. She absolutely LOVED it! As did my 4 year old. He literally screamed "I LOVE SCIENCE!" during one of the experiments. I was afraid this may be one of those products that looks better in the ad than in person but it looks and works exactly as advertised. My kids loved watching Dr. Maxwell pop up out of seemingly no where and the 3D instructions were so clear and easy to follow my kids hardly needed my help. Definitely recommend this product and will be on the lookout for more Professor Maxwell Lab kits!

When kids need constant stimulation with the rampant use of Smart Phones and Tablets, AR is the next best thing. This toy is a slam dunk on so many levels! The fact that it's a multipurpose toy where a child can actually learn something at the same time, just makes this a no-brainer. Props to all the people involved in making this!I bought this for my friends kids and they were more than happy. To the point that other "toys" were pushed aside for a long while. I will be definitely planning on getting the rest of the collection for the Xmas holidays.

The 40 aspect works well. The experiments were a little too easy. Three stars because you only get about 4 hours worth of play.
