100 Hits-Sensational

I love music. I grew up in the era of the 60's and 70's. I was eager in getting this collection. I started listening to it and was very disappointed. This didn't sound like the music I grew up with. It is the worst collection I have ever heard. I do not recommend this. There are much better hit collections than this one. Save your money. The rating would be no star but you have to put something.

Does not have the rich sound of the originals..disappointed

so disappointed. This promised so much, and delivered so little. Most of the "favorite" songs are alternate or live versions, so you are not getting the song you wanted, sometimes even by a different artist than the one who had the hit. Edwin Starr's "war" is a GREAT live version, for example, and it's him, but starts halfway through the song, so you get only half the song. They are advertising something they were too cheap to buy the copyrights for. Guess it would be OK if you didn't live through the era and just wanted an inexpensive similar sounding soundtrack for a party...WIsh I could get my money back for this one. After the first CD, it gets worse.

I tried to cancel this order because of all the horrible reviews on the set. I found the playlist to be extensive, and the music was so much better than I anticipated. For 20.00 there is an awful amount of value here. Sure remakes by the original artists are going to sound differently. But the songs remain familiar, and you start singing to them anyways. I would have liked some liner notes to read up on where these artists are now.....

Great songs.

I was so excited to get this CD set since I listen to these songs everyday on Pandora. Boy was I let down when I listened to the CDs and found that very few songs were of the original artist. Almost every son was altered in some way with instruments or arrangement. I have returned this item and have no thoughts of ordering any more of these kind of CDs

Seller delivered as expected. Nothing against the seller but do not buy this product. This is not the original recordings and I even question if it is the original artists.
