Works for Me
Exactly what I was looking for. At first I was hesitant to buy it since I’m trying to save money. Buying a new item is just spending money, and it’s over $10? I could have easily just used a notebook that was lying around or made a spreadsheet or used an app or printed free templates from online somewhere. However, it’s perfect for my needs. Have been using it for almost a month now. Great portable size, not heavy, pages aren’t too thin, durable quality, layout is good, and it helped my unorganized self really think about the parameters of my budgetary life/goals. Some might find the labels constraining but I found they gave enough guidance while having space to personalize.I like that I can carry it with me around in daily life, seeing it makes me think before I buy, and being able to look at my purchases listed is very helpful. Having to sit down and write things out is incredibly eyeopening and sobering at times. Why do I buy dumb things? Just because apparently. I’m challenging myself to make my purchase list shorter for every new month this year; a work-in-progress, but progress nonetheless. This might be a shallow point, but I do find it aesthetically pleasing. It’s not overtly cutesy but not boring or bland. The flecks of gold against navy blue is always a lovely combination, and the pop of color in the font is just right. The logo isn’t obnoxiously large and flows with the rest of the cover. The quote is well chosen and speaks to my sensible side. No qualms about the interior pages either, they work well. Might want to do a small test about drying time if gel pens are your preferred instrument . I’m very much a pen and paper person and prefer them to always typing into my phone. I’m not a luddite, but appreciate paper items like these and they have a place in my life. Like most things, a tool is only good if it suits your tastes and is actually used and utilized properly, and this budget planner meets the mark for me.

Perfect for your 20s
I was looking for a budget tracker that would allow me to hand write out my transactions as I go through each month, and help me plan for the year. This was absolutely one of the best purchases I have made in a long time!!! I love the layout, with each month having budget goals, upcoming bills or expenses, and monthly breakdowns of your budget that actually match what kind of expenses I have in my life. Everyone has their own unique way of budgeting, but this book helped me have no excuse not to stay on top of my finances. It is small, compact, and aesthetically pleasing. If I had any negatives, which are minor in my opinion, I would say that it would be nice if it were spiral bound, and the actual column where total money amounts are to be written could be a little wider for those of us with chunkier handwriting. I highly recommend this product for college students who are financially independent and living off campus and young adults who aren't into complex budgeting or investments and are just looking for an easy way to create a budget and stick to it.

Has a lot of potential
I have created my own budget books using 3 column accounting journals for years. This year I thought I would look at what is available "ready to go". This book came closest to what I need. I've only used it for half of one month, so these are early days. It is clearly geared for a younger audience, and I'd love to see a book that is for retired or senior citizens. I wish I had income, and I could be "saving" for something, but those days of building up resources are in the past. So I need more lines for health expenses (not just insurance premium and co-pay, but prescriptions, lab work, dentist, eye care, hearing). There is only one line for "streaming services". While I can add them all up and put them in as a lump sum, it helps me to grasp the full impact of that expense when I can see Netflix, Acorn, Amazon, HBO, YouTube TV, digital newspapers all spelled out. Then there are the software subscriptions like MS office, Adobe, identity theft. There's no line at all for garbage removal/recycling, or clothing. The stickers are fun, and the pocket inside the back cover is great. I think an elastic band to hold the whole thing closed would be nice, because the construction of the book (stitched and folded down the spine) tends to want to not lay flat. I see that as a property that will not improve with age.

It’s very nice
I love the quality. Coloring and how it’s made. Not cheaply made and the price is on point. Never received a bad product from EC. Totally recommend

Not as detailed......
As far as appearance, it is a pretty book. But it's very thin, by that I mean there wasn't much to it. I was looking for a detailed book for my budgeting needs and this just wasn't it. There is no calendar in it neither so I didn't like that. But if youre wanting something small to just write your bills down each month and maybe a few transactions then this is fine. But I wanted something bigger and more detailed and organized.

Not worth 30$
I received my Budget Book yesterday, and while I like the overall layout of things, I don't think this product is worth 30$. If it was a hardcover book and if it came with two or three sticker sheets, I might say it was worth the price, but it's basically paperback with only one sticker sheet. I'll use it, but since I'm working on a bullet journal for next year that will have monthly budget sheets, I won't be ordering this product again unless the price significantly decreases.

Perfect for getting a grip on your finances.
Perfect for logging everything including debit and credit card purchases, upcoming expenditure and I also use it to log parcels not yet arrived. Plenty of room to track other financial matters. I use the back to log my credit cards being paid down. Fab!
