I already loved S L Huang’s previous work, but this solidified them as one of my favourite authors.

Kinda boring. But it picked up

Writing that flows and a story worth reading.

I liked the story, but not the writing. The author had taken liberties with the original source and I wish she would taken more liberties to make the book less “stretchy” and more readable. Stretching very predictable scenes for suspense makes for a very boring read. The other problem I have with the book is that the style of writing seems to change from section to section, making it feel like several authors wrote it.

Great story! The size of the book is perfect too as it's a little shorter in height than most books. Love the storyline?
