The correct application of horsehair brushes: Horsehair or boar brushes are very fine and stiff and therefore ideal for brushing out fine cold snow structures. So if you have a ski or board with a special coating for cold temperatures, you also need a horsehair brush. Horsehair brushes are essential when applying fluorine carbon powder waxes. After brushing with a stiff nylon brush, the brushed wax is then brushed away with the fine horsehair brush. BaseBrush Bronze/Copper - coarse copper brush for cleaning the ski surface before waxing and brushing out hot waxes. - Material: Bronze/Copper - For brushing and cleaning. - Side groove for comfortable and firm hold - very handy and easy to use. - Ideal as a cleaning brush. - Very effective when brushing out ironing waxes. - No impairment/change of the surface structure. - Suitable for skis, snowboard and LL skis. - Dimensions: 120 x 70 x 30 mm. - Made in Germany. The correct application of non-ferrous metal brushes: Copper, brass or bronze are softer so-called non-ferrous metals and are not as aggressive as steel, i.e. they are not suitable for working up used structures. Nevertheless, they are very abrasive and are therefore used as the first brush for brushing out ironing waxes. In combination with a softer nylon polishing brush, bronze/copper brushes achieve a very good result. Copper/bronze brushes are also ideal for deep pore cleaning with wax remover. However, this applies that a separate brush is used for cleaning, which is not used for brushing. If brushing with nylon is not effective enough for you, but a steel brush is too aggressive, then a copper/bronze brush in combination with a soft nylon brush is optimal.
