Had an issue with the silk screening on the detector miss spelling carbon monoxide as Carbom Monoide? I was concerned as it is an important device to keep the family safe in our RV. However the company reached out to me and assured me it was a cosmetic issue only and their responsiveness was second to none. I'm comfortable with the attentiveness and responsiveness of their customer service that the product will do it's intended job.

If your rv / camper has a propane heater, you should have one of these alarms.

To use this CO and Propane gas alarm you need to have a 12-volt DC power source. This alarm does not use AC power. The necessary 12-volt DC power supply is not included with this product. 12-volt DC is not a common source of power in a residence. Therefore, you most likely will not have a power supply available in order to use this product. You will need to buy a 12-volt DC power supply to use this CO and Propane gas alarm. That will be an additional cost on top of the $59.99 (my price point at time of ordering). A 12-volt DC power supply bought on Amazon is approximately $12 at the time of this review.

Yes, they lose a point for spelling (the text on the face of the detector reads "Carbon Monoide" - I'm sure it (hopefully) doesn't affect functionality, but it's sort of a big miss, no? Makes me nervous about what else they might have overlooked? Other than that, unit powers on, so that's good. One thing to note - this unit is for a camper or RV, and must be hard wired - it's not a plug in unit. That's what I wanted, so all good there. I still need to FULLY test (for peace of mind) - when I get the chance, maybe I'll leak a little propane nearby and make sure it actually detects. For now, all appears good. Should that turn out not to be the case, I will update this review.

My old detector (5 years old) needed a replacement and was discontinued. We needed a new detector that would cover the existing whole using one of the extra plates. This detector works great and looks good. Easy install. 100% recommended.

This replaced my old LP gas detector in my travel trailer that was starting to give false chirps and having some issues. The install was extremely easy and the unit is small and nice looking.The display is clear and easy to read.
