The moss arrived today, all three pieces labeled. They are all very dry and crispy but it says on the bags that they will revive once they're misted with water. It's December 14th and I'm going to wrap them up for Christmas but misted them once very lightly and I hope that's okay for the next 10 days.One of the small pieces has a tear in the center of it. I don't think it will be that big of a deal if it grows, but I thought it's worth mentioning.I also should have paid closer attention to the listing -- I didn't realize one of the pieces of moss likes really, really moist conditions. We're going to use these pieces of moss in enclosures for Western Black Widows which, generally, tolerate a much more dry environment compared with other spiders. For that reason, I'm not sure how well this little piece of moss will do. I'm excited about the other two pieces though.I don't think they came with care or growth instructions -- for example, do I need to put them on some kind of substrate or will they be okay as they are on the piece of "fabric"? I'm assuming I don't need to remove that piece of fabric, right?So other readers know what you get -- there are two 4"x4" pieces of two different mosses (Eurohypnum leptothallum and another one) and then one 4"x8" piece of a third moss. I wrapped them all before I got their names so I'll try to update this review after Christmas. They all seem to be in fine condition if they come back to life with a bit of water and except for one tear/rip in the center of the Eurohypnum leptothallum. For the price, I recommend this product if you're looking for a few pieces of moss.

Very lush and green. Just tiny sprays of water,it takes off growing.

Three rectangles of different moss. Very fragrant and perked right up with a spritz of water. They look great in the terrarium!

Arrived on time. Package well. All three kinds are alive and healthy. All green and no brown patch.Perfect. Total area is not 50 square inches, may be closer to 36 square inches.

I got a tiny bit more than 50in. sq. of 3 types of moss. Even had some I didn’t know what to do with so we’ll see how it does on the walls there. For reference, good amount for a 5gal tank unless you’re going crazy with it. I lost the picture of it in packaging, but it comes in nice sheets with just enough soil attached where it made it easy to lay once moistened. The snails seem to like it and still like eating their food more, so hopefully it sticks around.

I ordered a set of this moss to use in an enclosure I had put together. I received 3 nice pieces of 3 types of moss. I was happy with it so I ordered a second set. This one is not as nice as the first, I am pretty sure it is not the same moss as the first. The first set looks more like what is pictured in the listing. In this set the main piece is smaller and looks like the same moss as one of the smaller square pieces, so I received two types of moss instead of 3 like the first set. Since my interest getting this set was to match the larger piece this is a disappointment. Also where the first set came with moss moist and soft, this set the moss is dry a brittle.

Great moss. A few species died when first planted. But seller replaced the item after contacting them of the issue. Keep the moss moist, and it’ll grow out in a couple of weeks.
