The scent on this product has a tea tree cleanliness to it, it is quite pleasant and I think the light sent lasts longer than most others. The moisture seems great and the curls definitely have more bounce and shine. Texture was nice and rinsed out without too fuss. No frizz even on the most humid of days and I feel like the curls are more full and don't look as tired at the end of the day. Great to accentuate natural curls. Also shipped will with a full foil seal so the weight and heft of the bottle is very durable to be shipped.

First off, no this isn't a shampoo. You use it in addition to your shampoo and conditioner. It does make my hair softer and more manageable, and I do like the scent. It's not as heavy as a conditioner for me. I have trouble with balancing shampoo and conditioner use because my hair is either too dry or too greasy or a mix of both. This actually gives me a good in-between. Is it worth the price? If you're just looking to add this into your haircare routine, I don't think it adds anything substantial for the price. For me, I'd consider using it in place of my normal conditioner, although the price puts me on the fence.

Has that herbal Aveda scent and has the consistency of conditioner. This is a co-wash, in between a conditioner and shampoo. It’s like conditioner for cleaning your hair.I don’t have curls or coils, more like frizzy waves if left to dry on its own. But I like cowash in between shampoos to clean my hair without stripping moisture, particular in summer.This left my hair hydrated, soft and easier to style. It didn’t leave as heavy a film as other cowash products I’ve tried. As far as anti frizz properties, I use styling products so I can’t say how much this co-wash contributed to my efforts.If you like the Aveda scent, I do, and don’t mind the steep price, I do mind, this is worth a try. Otherwise, you can find similar products in the black hair care aisle at any drug store.

I'm a bit confused at how this co-wash is marketed. To me, a co-wash is a cleansing conditioner that is used instead of shampoo and conditioner. However, the instruction on the bottle say to use a separate conditioner after using the co-wash. So is the co-wash is really just a shampoo that doesn't lather? Anyway, I decided to just use this product as a co-wash without following up with a conditioner.The co-wash did a good job of cleaning my hair and left it very soft, both of which I appreciated. The scent is prominent but not overpowering. It smelled like pine trees to me. Unfortunately, the co-wash did not rid my hair of all its frizziness though it did reduce it quite a bit.All that said, I this co-wash is not a good value. The bottle is on the small side. I was expecting something bigger considering the cost.

I've used this brand and this co-wash before, but the formula has changed. My hair felt like it had a coating on it, and oddly enough felt dry. I'm really bummed but do not plan on using this again. I'll stick with the other brands my hair stylist has recommended.

It is non-foaming, so it feels more similar to a conditioner than shampoo. However, it does a gentle cleanse - it cleans less than a shampoo but more than a conditioner. It has a mild cleansing agent that removes light dirt and sweat. It is particularly good for coily or dry hair that does not need frequent deep cleaning.The light cleansing agent does not remove styling products like spray, oils, or hard water minerals. In short, what I learned is that it is good between deep cleaning with a regular shampoo. Note that it does not work well for fine hair, it works best for curly or coily hair.I have wavy hair and use it every other hair-washing day.
