Used these ties to secure a toolbox to a lectric Trike basket. Wanted something that people couldn't just pull the toolbox out of the basket and walk away if I left the Trike for a few minutes. Took me a minute to figure out how it worked. Loved the cutting tool as it doesn't it all.

This is a great tool very easy to use and a great option when trying to save money. Very durable as I dropped it a few times and still works as it should. Fits comfortably in my hands and super easy to cut the zip ties and make them tight. We used 300 metal zip ties and 300 regular ones on our chicken run. Would buy again if needed.

These tires are super strong and will not breakaway like plastic ones. The metal is thin and has a very low profile but the break strength is high and cannot be broken by hand. The one downside I noticed is once you put it on something and then put tension on the band it cannot be tightened a second time. Also if you put it on something and cannot fit wire snips under the band it's very difficult to get it off without damage to the item within the band.

I used these to secure a chain link fence and rope light around our pool. I had been using nylon zip ties but those would only last a year or two and disintegrate.I had anticipated using my zip tie tool (not the one in this listing) to tighten and cut these but discovered it wouldn't do either of those functions although it works perfectly on nylon ones. So I ended up using my tin snips, but even with these there was only one part of the cutting blades that would cut these ties.The biggest snags with these are tightening, cutting and tucking away the somewhat sharp end of the tie. I didn't need these super tight, so I just pulled them tight by hand, cut them with the snips and then just rotated the end away from where people might snag their hand on the end.Really liking that I should not have to replace the ties on my fence routinely!

These are great, but they are very specific in their use. Because it's metal, I wouldn't use these on anything that vibrates or moves (like on a vehicle) because the metal will saw right through anything. That of course only applies if it's tight. If you're looking for something more secure and durable (say to attach a tag to something that someone might be tempted to take off), these are perfect. Also great for extreme temps, just keep in mind that metal expands and contracts with temperature.

This worked great, until it didn't. I was doing a pretty massive project with hundreds of ties. After about 90 ties, this tool would not grip on the ties any more. The Jaw wore out and it wouldn't function at all. I tried cleaning it in case it was just shavings or debris, but to no avail. I found higher quality tool and will see how that works.

I always judge the quality of stainless steel by how magnetic it is. These are pretty magnetic. I have other 304 stainless that is very much non-magnetic? I'm sure there are different grade to 304 stainless, but since they are highly magnetic, they are not high quality.What you get is 11 1/2 inch stainless steel band. That locks down in as little as a 1/4 of an inch. This gives you a good 11 inches of usable strap. will wrap around a 3 1/2 inch pipe or bundle maximum. If you have a 3 inch tail pipe this might work, but I would suggest sizing up.Overall the straps work well. Don't know what the long term is, but I believe they will show rust, but still last a good long time.
