PACKTALK PRO Motorcycle Helmet Communication System Intercom, Crash Detection, Auto On/Off, Air Mount, 45mm Speakers, Single Pack

Fantastic! I have used multiple Sena products for years to listen to music, covering over 100K miles on several motorcycles. This is my first Cardo unit and I absolutely love it! Audio quality with the 45mm JBL speakers is excellent. Battery life is phenomenal. I love the magnetic attachment for quick removal for charging. I have this mounted to an Alpinestars R10 Helmet and it fits and looks great! I haven't used the communication features, but have taken several phone calls and audio quality has been excellent. My favorite feature is the voice controls. I never have to touch the unit. Being able to say "Hey Cardo, volume up" or "Hey Cardo, next track" is an absolute game changer. I can focus on the ride and keeping my hands on the bars of my Yamaha MT-10 SP, which can be a handful at times. 10/10 purchase on the Cardo Pro. If you are on the fence like I was between this top shelf model or a lesser Cardo unit, get this one. You won't be disappointed.

I had the Sena R for a few months this year in 2024. Overall I was not impressed by anything. The app is very not optimized. Remember when apps were first being developed and you found that it didn’t have basic functionality? That’s what the Sena app was. The Sena Speaker quality was basically “budget” ear bud quality. Ever have to use airplane headphones or buy cheap headphones at a corner store to get you by? That’s was the Sena speakers are. Flat and dull everything, absolutely 0 bass, leaving you feeling that at least some music is better than nothing. But the most terrible part is the voice & audio mixing. No issues hearing people, but if you had music/radio playing and someone would speak/you would speak, it would abruptly dim the music so it would majorly distract you. If you turned off that feature, voices would blast through the speakers and deafen you. The little mixer they include in the app didn’t do enough, so music would be SUPER quiet and voices would be too loud, always. I say all that to tell you that my experience with the PackTalk Pro has been the complete opposite. I’ve had mine for close to 2 months. Outside fitting it to one helmet that has a small fuss (not Cardo’s fault there!), it has been great. App is modern and WORKS. Music sounds great, not fantastic as it’s missing lows, but overall I’m happy with it. They honestly sound like wired Apple Headphones, passable at everything, good at voice. I like that the unit can be removed and attached to other helmets quick. Battery life is fantastic, especially with the auto on/off feature. And the Crash Detection feature can be toggled. It’s great to have another safety net when riding. Outside of the steeper price, I have 0 complaints. It’s a great product. A flagship model that kicks the crap out of the competition.

On January 11th in 2026 I got in a crash with a deer, bike trashed and got pretty injured. 6 and a half months later my phone randomly reconnects with the cardo on my helmet. The thing survived a crash and got ripped off the helmet mount. Still plays music makes calls and microphone works a charm. Held a 50% battery charge for more than 6 months. More than good enough in my opinion.

I was a Cardo fan for years, had them on all of my helmets and always convinced my friends to buy them. Recently got a new helmet and decided to treat myself to the top of the line Packtalk Pro model. Within 90 days the device failed and became unresponsive. No big deal, it's tech and things happen right? It's under warranty, obviously it's basically new so I reach out to support. They give me some troubleshooting steps to try and have me send some pictures and videos. They quickly let me know that it's definitely defective and they will send me a new one. They tell me that I need to pay to ship them the defective unit and provide them a tracking number. Working for a large tech company myself this is crazy to me. You don't stand behind your products that when you admit it's defective within 90 days I still have to pay you more money? I already bought your most expensive unit. Okay but whatever, fine I guess that's where we are. I send it back and give them the tracking information. They confirm it and say they will send me a new unit within 5 days. 10 days later I have heard nothing so I reach out and they tell me they'll look into it. 2 days after that I get a message that it's on backorder and they can't send me another one. That's it. No refund, no other solutions, won't send me back the defective one to try through Amazon with, nothing but "well we have your money and the thing you gave us the money for so you just get to sit and wait now". Absolutely unacceptable customer experience. I will never buy another Cardo product as long as I live and I will make sure that nobody I ride with buys another one either.

Bought this Cardo unit for my wife so she can enjoy listening to her music while we're out on a ride and we can easily communicate while we're moving and not have to wait until where at a stop light. Its expensive, but worth the money with its crash detection and automatic emergency calling; which I hope we never have to find out if it really works. The sound quality is great with the 45mm speakers. Its a bit overwhelming with all the features of the unit and having only 4 buttons and volume wheel to work with, but nothing you can't familiarize yourself with over time.

Pro is the way to go. Much better clarity and bass on the sound part for music. IF you listen to music while riding. The PackTalk with the Mesh system and ability to control who is in it and lock it down. PERFECT! Going to a bike night with 300 other motorcyclists and keeping comms with your group of 7 was awesome! Range is great. Interface with the phone works good. Very happy with product. It does everything it says it does. Controls are pretty simple to use. Voice commands works too! Mounting to the chin bar on the helmet is ideal for me. Turn my head a bit and see myself in the mirror if I can't find the button or removing the unit for charging. Battery lasts a long time, The AUTO on/off is the 2nd favorite feature since I ride every day. Love this talk unit.

Update 8/31/2026: Cardo pushed a software update for the unit, that added the public mesh chanel, and changed some of the layout of the app. I added a star, as it's nice to see they're still doing feature support, and my previous resume playback issue might have been fixed(or a software bug) The good: Sound clear Loud enough for use with ear plugs (as you should to protect from hearing damage) Power on/off automatically with motion. Has some noise canceling on microphone. The bad: Propriaty ONLINE ACTIVATION VIA MOBILE PHONE REQUIRED 👎 Waaay overpriced, even on sale I'd only recommend it because there are only 2-3 competitors and this is just the best. The required app is clunky at best, and requires a lot of permissions and network access. No Active Noise Canceling for the the headset/headphones/speakers. The controls on the unit kinda suck, you can pause and answer calls, and switch to FM radio. The app doesn't play normally with music streaming apps like YouTube Music or Spotify, it seems to want to use the app's built in media player to play media on your phone. You can still play from the other media players, just not natively in the cardo app. Overall: It's the best helmet headset available (November 2025) but for $500 it should be nearly perfect, even though I got it on sale I still feel like the experience so far hasn't shown why they're the best available. It works, and the crash detection function is a neat value add. That doesn't make up for an app that passivly gets in the way of standard headset functions like media playback.

I’ve grown used to doing more research beyond reviews on a sales site via YouTube reviews and comparisons. The fact that these systems are water and dust proof unlike the closed competitors was the final info needed. The JBL speakers sound great and a line of site range test revealed about a mile and a half of communication. The crash protection was an also must have for me.

Me falló el primer mes de uso, tuve que abrir garantia con CARDO, me pidieron regresarlo a USA y sale carisimo el envio, despues me enviaron uno nuevo y tuve que pagar impuestos de nuevo para que llegara a mi casa, siendo que ya habia pagado impuestos en la compra inicial, despues me retornan el defectuoso porque no lo recibieron y encima tengo que pagar impuestos de nuevo, lo peor de todo es que CARDO no se hace responsable de nada, no te manda guia prepagada para el envio ni te reembolsa nada, quede muy molesto con esta compra y con su politica de garantia.
