You need this!
Long battery life and we love it. It may seem a little large or heavy for some individuals but we don’t find this. A good example was the London marathon 2025 - my girlfriend was running and I was using my phone to track her. This helped me keep full battery and also gave my girlfriend full battery after the run. Easy and quick to charge it before a trip or outing.

super useful screen
It's great that it shows how much battery is left on the screen of the battery, but definitely doesn't last as long as some v-locks. I usually get about an hour and a half when attached to my BMPCC6k, so can't complain too much.

Excellent Build & Workmanship, Clear LED Display & Lots Of Ports For Devices
Presentation The NEEWER Mini V Mount Battery was supplied in retail style packaging typical of the NEEWER brand from which I have had products in the past. The cardboard box in which it was sealed was branded, with the product depicted on the front, the model number on the long side and NEEWER name on top and short sides, whilst full details of the product were on the bottom of the box. First Impressions Opening up the packaging, there were two small boxes atop the battery, one of which contained the D Tap cable and the instruction manual, the other was empty and a transit filler as far as I could tell. The battery unit itself was in a plastic sleeve and had a protective peel off film on the display which also has NEEWER branding, and rubber seals on all of the output connections D Tap/USB C/USB A & Dual DC Ports, though no cover for the BP connectors. Underneath the unit is the V shaped mount which is metal rather than hard plastic. The unit appears to be very well built as it the norm for the NEEWER brand, but still lightweight and easy to manage in the hand. Day To Day Use This is my go to battery for devices on my rig, including lights, mobile phone and camera if needed, it is a versatile piece of kit and in use to-date I’ve had no issues with the battery overheating or indeed getting very warm at all lukewarm is as hot as it has gotten for me. Support for fast charging both input and output is a welcome addition to the array of ports available, and the suggestion that the battery itself can be charged in 2.5-3.0 hours is accurate in my tests. Some of the features I have read about but have not had any dealings with are that the very clean and clear OLED display has alert codes for various status issues if they occur with on board protection for over voltage/current etc built in to the unit. Summary As we all know, photography is not a cheap hobby or indeed profession for those in that sphere, and accessories are expensive, but NEEWER do manufacture and sell their product at what I have always considered a reasonable price for the build quality, and this is no exception. Very pleased with this unit.

You can charge and run power from the battery at the same time
NEEWER Mini V Mount Battery measuring in at 111 x 73 x 39mm is about half the depth of my 99A vmount batteries. It still offers USB-C and Dtap charging; It even includes a tiny 10cm dtap cable. Charging via USB-C is limited to 45watts; and at that rate its charged in about 90 minutes from almost flat. Charging from a higher power dtap socket is done in well under an hour. USB-C or dtap you will need to provide the power device as the kit only includes the battery and dtap cable. You can use it as a mini up; passing power through it and into a device it will keep the battery charged until the mains goes off. Though there is only one usb-c port and dtap port so you will need to use one for charge and discharge if you aren’t using the vmount ports. The vmount aside; the ports are all behind dust protection doors which is nice. Aside the USB-C and dtap there is also an 8v and 12 v dc out on the top. Power wise the output is limited to 50Wh which can power most of my lights at about ½ their brightness. When you go over it the battery keeps going but flashes OP (Overpower) on the screen. The screen is useful for charging and monitoring output but seems to lag about 10s behind what you ask it to do. Capacity wise it’s a small lightweight battery (381gram) so the capacity is somewhat limited; with 3450mAh as the capacity. This ran my light for just over 27 minutes. Where it may come in handy is charging everything you carry with you – it will add about 6 hours of battery life to my MacBook; or charge my iPhone twice – and still be able to drop into my rig if I need some power. Using it as a UPS makes it very useful for me; I can run equipment and have time to power it off if the power fails without blowing bulbs; or just backing up the images on my laptop safely.

Great quality battery for camera bits, doubles as a power bank too.
The main reason I ordered this is to power my rig light that has a d-tap style connector and it works perfectly fine with it. I have however only managed to use it once on that so I’m not able to go into great detail on this at present. It’s nice to have a visual indicator on a screen in front of you that not only shows you a representation of the battery with bars but also the voltage readouts of the current charge level as well as the output voltage of each specific port that’s in use. The power bank side of this is also really good. It’s only 3450mAh capacity but the voltage is 14.5v giving it 50wh total capacity. Enough to charge my phone three times or a full charge on my laptop with enough to spare for a 100% phone charge. Although this is by all means portable, the capacity does mean that it isn’t the least bulky power bank and does carry some weight but if you’re someone that is used to carrying larger power banks around with you then you’ll know that this is normal for higher capacities. Aesthetically speaking, the power bank looks like a really high end device that’s been built up using quality materials. Finally for the charging speeds of the USB ports - it does 45w charging for laptops and higher speed charging phones. My iPhone has a max charge speed of 22.5w which it also supports. The A port does have capability of 24w but I haven’t got any USB-A devices to use at the moment.

Mini POWER!
Got my hands on this Mini V Mount Battery recently, and it’s really been a game-changer for my photography and videography needs. This compact powerhouse is exactly what I needed for on-the-go shooting, and let me tell you, it’s worth every penny. Granted the asking price is a little steep and there are a few more affordable options on the market but none really at this size and power. This battery is like a one stop shop for power. It has USB-C, USB-A, DC 8V, DC 12V, BP, and D Tap ports, so I can charge a bunch of gadgets at the same time. It has been working great with my Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras, and to be fair even my friends Blackmagic Cinema Camera. The layout is easy to use, with USB and DC ports on different sides to avoid accidental disconnections. One cool thing about it is the 45W PD fast charging feature. It’s a real lifesaver when I’m out and need to quickly juice up my devices. I even tried it with my MacBook Pro and was blown away by how fast it charged. Just having this in my backpack is very reassuring. The battery may be small enough to fit in your palm, but it’s got a big 3450mAh capacity. It’s cool to take on flights, so it’s perfect for travel. When I’m shooting with my LED video light, it keeps the power going for around 40 minutes, which is awesome. Especially when you compare that to my cheaper battery which won’t even last 10 minutes. The screen gives you a real-time battery status and alerts you for any abnormal conditions. This ensures I’m never caught off guard by a low battery. I really like how this thing can be charged in different ways. It has both USB-C and D-Tap charging options and even comes with a cool little 10cm D-Tap cable. The USB-C charging is limited to 45 watts, so it takes about 90 minutes to go from almost empty to totally charged. If you use a higher-power D-Tap socket, you can charge it in less than an hour. You can pass power through it to your device, and it keeps the battery charged until the power source is cut off. There’s only one USB-C port and one D-Tap port, though, so if you’re not using the V-mount port, you’ll need to decide which one to use for charging and discharging. All in all, this V Mount Battery is a versatile and reliable power source that’s just right for photographers and videographers looking for a small yet powerful solution. You’ve got lots of charging options to choose from. Whether you’re using it for continuous lighting, video shoots, or keeping your devices charged on the go, this battery is quite a good option. It won’t be a great option for those looking to power multiple heavy-consumption devices, but for general equipment, it’s a great choice. Hope this review helps someone out.

Excellent kit, but keep an eye on the price...
Straight out of the box, you can tell this is a decent bit of kit. It's pretty hefty, but not so much as to be cumbersome when attached to a hand-held piece of equipment. This will be part of a monitor/DJI gimbal setup, so while the extra power/capacity is appreciated, weight it still a factor to consider.* As a stand-alone pack, it does offer a decent range of connection choices, let alone the voltage options. I topped this up before use, and it took around 4400mAh until full. I'll need to run a few full charge/discharge cycles to get a better idea of actual/quoted capacity, but it's performing great so far. *The biggest consideration here is the price... and 230gm. That 230gm is the difference between this 3450mAh pack, or for just £10 more (at time of writing), the heavier Neewer 6800mAh pack of a near identical design. To me it's a no-brainer, and I'd go for the bigger one every time. That affects the rating of course, despite the fact that the smaller/lighter version may well be preferable for some folk. On a quality/value-for-money basis... 4-Stars.

High Quality V Mount
I have both the 50Wh and the 99Wh version of this battery. I typically use V Mount when I travel with my larger rig which includes my mirrorless camera, my phone as a video monitor, and a wireless microphone receiver all of which I like to keep charge with a V Mount for extending my shoot times. I choose which battery to take with me based on my anticipated length of session. If I am on the trade show floor all day filming I go for the 99Wh, smaller gigs I bring the 50Wh. Both are TSA friendly for flying so no issues with having to leave gear at the airport checkpoint. These Neewer V mounts are every bit as good if not better than the more common brand names normally associated with V Mount batteries. Build quality is excellent and the OLED screen provides detailed usage stats. For a fully loaded rig I use the D Tap, UBS C and DC power ports at the same time and the OLED provides me real time battery draw and time remaining. If you are looking for a a good V Mount battery at a decent price I can heartily recommend this Neewer series.
