Decent enough starter pen and includes converter, which will be necessary when carts are finished.
First off it is easy to spot this is a generic Chinese fountain pen, but not a clone. The brand on the packet and pen is Chren, where as the brand in the advert, on the Amazon page and on the back of the outer wrapping is Amabro. This pen is thin and quite probably aimed at starting writers as the section (where you grip) has flattened sides in a triangle to force a proper hold.I have tested the cartridge fit and it is not Standard International, but the newer one initially started by Jinhao, but don't assume you can use their cartridges as the barrel is too narrow. Fortunately the pen comes with a converter installed, though a slide to fill one so not much capacity. Once yo have finished the eight included ink cartridges you will be reliant on using bottled ink if you still want to use the pen.The writing experience is relatively good. The nib is very stiff and the tipping is smooth. The pen 'worked out of the box' with one of the cartridges, producing a western fine line (in the far East, particularly Japan and South Korea, their nibs are one size smaller than ours. The ink flow is dry, so I get a grey line, not black, but this does mean it will be harder to smudge your writing, plus the cartridges will last longer.Over all, even at this price, I can;t quite score it a five, there are much better fountain pens out there for a similar cost, but it is still a decent writer you may want to consider.

Good cartridge or ink fountain pen
I really like using this fountain pen, it’s easy to write with, the ink flows well and it’s light and comfortable to hold, with the grip area slightly depressed each side for your fingers. The pen can be used with the cartridges supplied or with bottled ink.The shimmery light blue appearance of the pen is attractive and the lid clips on securely. I think it’s reasonably priced for what it is and would be an ideal gift for a student - although it’s a pity it doesn’t come in a box rather than a plastic bag, especially as it’s described as ‘luxury’!

Beautiful pen, writing is so smooth
Really a lovely pen with a nice weight to it. Writes so incredibly smooth that it immediately made me want to journal! Putting in the included disposable ink cartridge was pretty easy. This would be a nice gift!

unclear load instructions
The media could not be loaded. Got this for my husband to write in his journal, he likes fancy pens and this one comes with 5 nibs, which are pen refills. For the fancy pen enthusiast, they will like this pen for sure, very giftable. You have to put the 1st nib in to get it to work. You will need to picture read the instructions for this to be usable. This is a wet ink type which once you write on paper, you need to let it dry. When you get the pen, there is a ink place holder there. You need to take it out to put the ink nibs in. Takes a moment to write with it and that might be because of the ink being new. It hold very well with no issues and is a very beautiful fancy pen.
