Low quality but overpriced.
It's not unusual to get a construction core with only 3 pins. I would be willing to excuse that even though it isn't made clear that it's a 7 chamber lock with only 3 chambers populated. The real issue here is the key quality. The keys are so poorly made the locks don't operate smoothly. It's difficult to get the keys all the way in and they don't turn easily. The keys look cast or stamped in a way that leaves unfinished edges. Furthermore the price was higher then what I would pay elsewhere for better quality.

Well made and solid construction!
This made changing the lock core out a breeze. Keys and lock have smooth motion, and the duplication protection stamp will help keep the premesis secure

False advertising. Only 3 key pins.
Well, this is false advertising and should be delisted. As shown in the picture, it isn't 7 pins, it is 3. Which means it is incredibly easy to pick and get into. 7 is decent security, even if there aren't security pins installed. This is neither high-pin count, nor security pinned. Took me about 10 seconds to pick this when testing it's resistance to picking attacks (which I always do before installs). I wouldn't trust this for any real security whatsoever. Especially for the intended use, construction sites.Otherwise it does technically function, the turning is very crunchy, needed to have graphite added to even function and the SFIC main feature gets caught up with the master key. So even that isn't great. Horrible value, poor build quality, bad security, poor SFIC features to rekey. Overall, this should be a pass for anyone.Buy at your own risk.

Functions, well-made, but partially pinned and keys barely work
The core itself seems to be well-made. Only three chambers are populated, however. The control and operating keys all work, but they don't operate as smoothly as they should. As far as I can tell, it's because the keys are copied from a simple copy machine and not originated from the bitting code. SFIC locks are notorious for being picky about copied keys, so it's unfortunate that they'd go that route. On the bright side, they got worn in fairly quickly and with a little work will function fine. The pins are standard Best A2 SFIC style pins, and the keys are Best A keyway. You can get green construction core SFIC cheaper than this, so it might not be the best value out there. These do fit, though, and are easy to use.

Strong lock with 7 pins
strong lock for security or locksport. Well made, 3 keys. Easy to use. Fun to pick.

Incomplete Lock - only 3 pins
I ordered 2, just to test them out. Both locks were keyed the same. The keys push in pretty hard, and operation both on the control and the locking keys is a bit sticky.Upon further inspection there are only 3 pin stacks in each lock - pins 1, 3 and 5 (starting from the back of the lock). Pins 2, 4, 6 and 7 are empty.

Good for temporary security
Received for free upon request- my reviews are always unbiased:As a lockpicking hobbyist, I have experience with a lot of locks. This item offers the same grade of security as one expects from an SFIC core. It's difficult to pick, and easy to switch out. I did notice the tolerances to be generous, as it's pretty sticky with the keys, but they all worked. Came in a tiny black bag. Fair for market value, in my opinion.

7 pin core only three pin stacks are filled.
I'd like to start off by saying this is a quality well-made lock and it functions exactly as it's intended it's made to be a direct fit for SFIC/construction corps applications so it's very easy to use /figure out. Comes with two operator keys and one control key, all three keys function/work in the core, but what I'd like to focus on are the things that a person might not think about or even know to look for when purchasing something like this.So this is labeled as a 7 pin SFIC construction core, but Chambers 3 5 and 7 are the only pin stacks that have anything in them the rest are empty. Now this isn't all that uncommon for construction course but it isn't listed anywhere in the product information. And though it may be coming obviously not everyone has knowledge on construction course, so I can imagine how some people would be taken off guard or even feel like they received defective product but that is not the case that's just how these things are packaged in a lot of cases. The only real issue with that, I don't have a clue where you get key or driver pins for this thing! I asked the seller or at least post a question to the seller and I was never able to get an answer as to where you could get the pins needed to fill the other four stacks, so I'll just have to measure them with my calipers and try to find a close alternative or perhaps another brand that has matching sizes. And then let's talk about the keys, I've seen a lot of people saying that the keys are very stiff but they work once they're in the core things like that well mine were all very difficult to get in one wouldn't go in at all the control key with sticky and rough but it worked the operator key did not.The reason for this is left over material on the key cuts, and I promise you the bitting/key cuts are are much more gnarly than they look in the pictures as far as excess material left over. Now normally this is something I would even bring up as the entire issue can be resolved with a few passes from a wire brush. That absolutely was not the case here, in fact at one point in time I contemplated bringing a rotary tool into the situation LOL that would probably be a mistake though. But.. this still isn't anything that's that big of a deal to take care of just a little bit of a time with a file and some sandpaper and you're good to go all three of my keys now insert / withdrawal and function flawlessly. So I'm talking about it simply because it does take a little bit of effort and it is as simple as being confident in the process paying attention to what you're doing, removing just a bit of material at a time, and making sure you don't remove more material than you need, but it still requires more effort than I would like to see you required of a person new to this or that doesn't have any knowledge about key cuts or making keys or what makes a key work/not work properly. Again it is a simple fix! But make no mistake if you overdo it you will ruin this key this is a high security core the keys have angled cuts on them everything is designed to have very low tight tolerances so, you could easily mess these keys up if you're not paying attention, you just need to take it one step at a time, be slow & steady and you will be totally fine. Now this isn't nearly as difficult of a process as I've probably made it sound in this review but it is more work than I'd like to see for someone that's never had to or even thought about cutting a key, it.. could be more than they can handle. But it is a simple process of filing off what shouldn't be there and it's very easy to distinguish what should and shouldn't be but, if just the thought of doing something like that seems like a daunting task to you then this could be a little too much. Although, I do have confidence that pretty much anyone could handle this, just something to be aware of and a personal choice for each person to make. All in all I still call this a value for the money it's a good core it does its job it functions the way it's supposed to it just simply needs a little work on the key, and then there's other four empty pin stacks that's just a matter of security a construction core is meant to be a temporary solution for security hence why a lot of these only ever come with three pin stacks filled and then it leaves you the option to feel the rest if you want to keep that construction core as a permanent for the door.It would be four stars if not for the amount of work needed on the keys and it would be five stars if they would simply put "this only has three pin stacks filled" somewhere in the description. So if the keys are not an obstacle to you definitely a four-star product! Five star if you've got some key pins laying around LOL.
