It has performed as expected and continue to use on vehicles to cigarette smell out and it as even eliminated insects in my garage.

I love the fact that it has a timer, so no risk of forgetting and leaving it run too long. You first remove any pets and plants, then set the timer to the amount of time you want it to run, then leave the rv or house. I used it in our rv for killing mold and removing the odor. I first cleaned the mold with an alkaline mold removing product (Concrobium Mold Control), then used the ozone machine to, hopefully, kill any spores in the wood. The mold spray did leave some discoloration on the wood. Only used the ozone machine 10 minutes the first day, then 30 minutes the next day. It's been a few weeks now, but the odor is still gone and nothing has grown back. Just do your research first, and don't use it too long, because ozone can dissolve the plastic insulation around wires and cause a fire. This is a very powerful machine and way too strong for an rv, though, so just don't use it too long. Would be great for a house, especially a musty basement. Good quality. Glad I got it.

I bought the ozone generator to help with cleaning out a rental house. The tenants had multiple pets - which they were not supposed to have - and did not clean up after the pets or themselves very well. The house just had multiple odors and was just very unpleasant to walk into. After cleaning everything that was possible to clean, my husband had mentioned an ozone machine so we did some research and this was the machine we chose to use. For the price, it seemed like it would be a good choice, so even if it didn't work great, we weren't out a lot of money. But this little machine is truly amazing!! The first day we put it in the house, it ran for almost 24 hours on the hold cycle and when we walked in the house the next day, it was like a whole new place! The pet urine in the basement was still noticeable but that was very concentrated anyway and I wasn't surprised that that was not eliminated but the other stinky and stale odors were gone. I could definitely tell there was an ozone odor and I, myself, need to turn the machine off after I get into the house and open some doors otherwise I begin coughing, but it has not affected the rest of the family as far as irritation. That being said, it has been truly amazing and I don't mind a little coughing because it has definitely done the job and keeps on working wonderfully. I highly, highly recommend this Alpine Air ozone generator to all of my co-workers, friends, and family. My son is going to use it in a car that he bought from someone that had left food and whatnot in it for an extended period of time because air fresheners and shampooing the seats and floors have not helped, but I am 100% positive that it will take away all the stench. I am so please and very thankful for this great little machine - and amazed at how great it has done in a 2-story house. I admit I was skeptical because it is not a big machine and the price seemed "too good to be true" but it has been an amazing transformation for this house and we will be able to list it for sale soon. This unit is really good. It does the job. The timer function works well and puts out an amazing amount of ozone. I will update this review to see if it holds up currently it is only being used twice a month for vehicles or odors in the house. I will say I have experience with ozone generators and you definitely need to set it and walk away and then air out the area. One cycle is complete. If you are using this in a house with people or pets, just allow enough time after everyone leaves, and then circulate air in the area

After reading hundreds of reviews on several different models and comparing prices, I chose the Alpine machine. My story: I purchased a house and the previous owners had cats and smoked in the house. We did smell any remnants of cats, but the smoke was cough cough for us. Understand that my family is allergic to cigarette smoke and my son allergic to cats. We had the carpets professionally cleaned not once, but twice and painted the house. It helped a great deal, but I could still really smell the cigarette smell. At this point I was trying not to have to replace the carpet in the house because it was really good quality carpet. My carpet guy suggested that I rent an ozone machine because that’s what they use in the fire restoration jobs he goes on. I couldn’t really find one available to rent and for the difference in the rental cost, I figured I could just purchase my own. Once I decided on the Alpine machine I was quick to place my order. For the looks, price, reviews, and functionality I figured it was a good choice and it was! I used it for 2 hours the first time (mainly because I was nervous and didn’t want to blow up my new house) on the 5,000 setting, 90 minutes the second time on the same day (since it needed a little more treatment) on the 10,000 setting, and 90 minutes one more time the next day at the 10,000 setting. Let me tell ya this sucker works!! There is a BIG difference between the 5k and the 10k setting though. You have to look closely to see which side the red circle flip button goes to for the setting. I will say that the machine itself does leave an industrial type odor which I had read in other reviews, but it’s much better than the smoke smell! Totally doable! After each day, I did open all the windows to reoxygenate my home with fresh air and clear that industrial smell, but WOW it really works. I don’t smell smoke anymore and it’s been 3weeks since we’ve been in the place. I definitely recommend it for this type of usage and I plan to use it again in the spring in my garage and at my parents in the basement. In comparison to the other machines I think the value of this one is worth it. If it sold for $5-$10 less ($79.99 - $84.99) it would own the market. If your are on the fence about the product, I say get it! Hope this review helps because all of the others really helped me. Additional feedback is that it is well-packaged and not obnoxious in size.

This thing is a monster. I did not expect the amount of ozone it could crank out. Had the entire basement smelling like a spring summer day after a thunderstorm in minutes. It didn't totally eliminate the wood stove smell in the family room, mostly because we didn't eliminate the woodstove, but it dramatically reduced it. In fact, for several hours it was undetectable. The unit is solid, good quality. The knob is a little tricky, but that's my only complaint. Could also be that I was trying to set the timer and run out of the room at the same time. Make sure your loved ones and pets are clear, this thing is serious. Used it near the cat box and in some damp musty areas and it did not disappoint removing the smell from those areas after it was cleaned. Worked great in the car too. If you want a way to freshen up your living space quickly, this thing rocks.

So to start out the unit itself works pretty well. Timer is functional and does have a hold setting for prolonged use. The model I ordered was advertised to have easy removal and cleaning of the ozone plate but as seen in the pictures this unit doesn’t offer that. You can remove the mesh filter but unknown if the plates can then be removed. This is in contrast to the manufacturer stating that it can be easily accessed, rinsed and cleaned. This feature was the reason I purchased the unit and unfortunately without it the unit only earns 3 stars since there is nothing that sets it apart from the other brands out there. The unit performs well but the inability to easily clean and maintain it will most likely lead to diminished performance and shortened life span.
