Dissapointing
This is so disappointing because it doesn't seem to work with my Mac OX 10.7 and I can't find any information on why. Every other usb device works so I don't understand why this one doesn't show up. I may have to return it disappointing my son.

Loved by my nephew
Anything electronic that gives parents control over the volume while giving the kid the power to use it is a win in my book. I got this for my 1 1/2 year old nephew because he loved to listen to his sister's boombox but it wasn't quite simple enough for him to use it independently. This one is easy for him to manage and he can carry it around with him. His parents can limit the volume so he doesn't drive everyone crazy playing "Moves Like Jagger" on repeat.

Some nice features but extremely finicky
Some nice features but extremely finicky, awful software, and some design flaws. It worked with my ancient Mac Mini but not my MacbookPro from last year. As another reviewer said, even when it does work with a Mac (probably PC too), it doesn't interface with with music software. You have to do file copy, and if you want songs in a particular order, it's a total drag. Not only do you have to name them alphabetically in the order you want, you have to delete anything already on the device, copy all the songs you want to a subdirectory on the device, then move them all from that subdirectory into the root directory. You also may need to remove any artwork attached to the mp3 and convert other file formats into mp3. The buttons are poorly made. The shell seems strong, which is good for use with little kids, but it's hard plastic, so little ones could break things with it. The buttons have a lousy feel, pushing them pushes them past the holes they sit in and give no feedback, so, especially when the thing isn't working right, which happens often, you're not quite sure if you've pressed the button hard enough. All that said, there are almost no other products on the market that work as a combined mp3 player/external speaker at all, much less in a case designed for kids with some kind of parent-managed volume control. This seems like a great product for some other company to copy and actually do a good job with.

Great concept but way too quiet
I love the concept of this but it didn't quite work for us. I bought this for my then 14-month old. We've had it a few months now, but don't use it because the speakers are so soft. The record button also requires pushing two buttons (not so easy for little ones to use. I have come across some cheaper toy mikes that are easier to use).

Great music player
simple to use with the USB cord to tranfer music. Nothing to worry about with the baby as all safe.

Amazing Fun & Easy to Use Baby MP3 Player!
We got this baby MP3 player for my little one year old niece. This MP3 player was the highlight of her 1st birthday party. She was carrying this toy around with her all day long and my brother said she even went to sleep with her bear. It really couldn't have gone better. We were looking all over for an MP3 player for little kids since she loves to listen to music on Daddy's Smartphone. The only problem is that its not exactly child friendly. The Baby Bidou MP3 player was exactly what they needed - an easy to use MP3 player that was kid friendly and easy for parent and child to play with together.Since we didn't want to give them a toy without music, we preloaded music on the toy for them (about 3 hours work of kids learning music). We used a Windows Vista laptop and it was as easy as just dragging and dropping the music into the MP3 players folder. The hardest part was opening up the player. This is both good and bad. Kids cannot open this toy - it can only be opened with a screw driver and a very patient parent. This makes it safe since the screw will not easily came out and protective all the sensitive pieces of the toy. The batteries are also in this same compartment. She has played with it for a month and the batteries still haven't died. The only thing I wish this toy was was water proof, since they live on the water in Florida. Other than that, she has whapped it against walls, the floor, and concrete and this sucker still works! Very very impressed with this little toy. This toy went over so well we gave it to our best friend's daughter for her 1st birthday! Very highly recommend.
