Amazon Basics 12-Gauge Audio Speaker Wire Cable – Excellent Quality for High-End Systems
I purchased the Amazon Basics 12-Gauge Audio Speaker Wire Cable to set up my high-end entertainment center, and I’m very pleased with the results. I wanted a high-quality cable that was thick enough (12 gauge) to support premium banana plugs, and this cable absolutely fits the bill. It’s also made from 99.9% oxygen-free copper, which is a great plus for ensuring minimal signal loss and maximum audio clarity. The outer shielding is a bit tough to work with due to its rugged design, which is built to withstand outdoor use. While this made it a little more challenging to strip, I found that using a good wire stripper tool made the process much easier. The cable inside itself is very durable, and I was impressed that it didn’t fray or break off when I was installing the banana plugs—something I’ve encountered with lower-quality cables in the past. What I particularly like about this cable is its versatility—it works perfectly for both indoor and outdoor setups. Since I’m using it in my living room, I actually prefer the white shielding. It blends seamlessly with the walls and décor, making it easy to hide the cable while still maintaining a clean look.Overall, this is a great cable at an affordable price. It provides solid, reliable performance and is definitely up to the task of connecting my high-end audio system. If you’re looking for a durable, high-quality speaker wire that won’t break the bank, I highly recommend the Amazon Basics 12-Gauge Audio Speaker Wire Cable!

Great price per foot compared to other brands.
Bought this on sale and was nearly same price as 14ga.Great quality full copper with slight markings to shot ft. designations. Not very flexible, but it's 12ga... so yeah.

Very nice wire at a really good price.
We needed some good quality speaker for a good size installation we're doing and after looking around quite a bit, I found this. This wire is really well made and at a very good price. I kept only seeing CCA (copper clad aluminum) wire in this price range which you do NOT want. You want pure copper which can make a huge difference and that's what this is. The jacket on this wire is very robust and the copper is really high quality. I don't think you will find a better deal anywhere for this high quality of wire especially at this price or even close. Trust me, look no further, you have found it.

Versatile quality OFC 14awg speaker wire, depends on application
I really like these speaker wires! The ofc copper is very good and seems very high quality. I measured their resistance when brand new from end to end of the 100ft and the multimeter showed almost no change compared to touching the leads!I definitely recommend the Amazon basics 14awg 100ft product however only for certain projects. The twisted black and red wires are really good quality with just ok flexibility, but if your project requires splicing, cutting, removing the outer white layer multiple times, you may want to try a different cable. Seriously the outer white plastic on these are VERY thick and very hard to cut/splice open without cutting into the softer black:red wires! For my project, I need to cut 15 foot lengths, 4 times, as well as cut 2-3 feet of jumper wire to then splice into other speaker cable. This process took along time because you have to be very careful on how you splice open the outer shell. Also, because the internal wires are twisted, you can’t just cut down the middle smoothly. There is a tool that electricians use to cut open ROMEX cable that might make this a lot easier. However, you also need to take your time cutting back the white shell without cutting into the black/red insulation. One of my pics shows just how thick the white outer shell is and if you look close, you’ll see an open gap between layers. I’ve never used quality in wall cl2/cl3 speaker wire, but I suspect the outer insulation isn’t nearly as hard. That said, I still highly recommend this cable, ESPECIALLY for the price!!! I had shopped for months until I came across these on sale and was going to just run 16awg OFC white wire and keep the cuts below 15feet, with the Amazon basics cable I was able to run 14awg and not worry about wire lengths at all. Also, I wanted some extra for other projects like adding subs to 2 other vehicles.Hope this helps!

Yes, it really is OFC. Fantastic wire.
It really is OFC, I tested it by rubbing the bare wire against an abrasive surface. Copper color underneath as expected for OFC. It has a heavy outer jacket and the overall cable diameter is about like TV coax cable so plan accordingly if you need wire clips for cable management. It also strips better with the 12 gauge slot even though it's supposed to be 14 ga wire. The wires are twisted together inside the white jacket which is a nice feature and some audiophiles pull their straight wires apart and twist them anyway. My only complaint is the white jacket is difficult to strip off to expose the individual wires for connection, but for the price you pay and quality that is a minor complaint. The sound quality is awesome and I did notice a significant improvement in clarity after changing to this from 16 or 18 ga CCA wire from the big box store.
