RECOMMENDATION: Thumbs up: Thick, high-quality artificial turf with multiple holes and flags THE GOOD: 1. The artificial turf for the putting surface is very high quality – more of the woven type vs fake grass. Very dense. 2. The rough grass is also fairly realistic. 3. They include flags to place into the holes, and a block that you can insert under the green to simulate hills (but not an overall slope). THE BAD: 1. When the mat arrives it is rolled up and it wants to keep that shape, so you will need to put some weighted items on either side and give it a day or more to let it stretch out to lay flat.

Nice and thick base and one thing I want to call out they did well was they rolled it in the right direction to put it in the box. Which is the top side was out. So when you lay it down, it does not take long for it to eventually settle into shape. it's 3.3ft wide and 10ft long. Which is the right size, imo, not too big or too small. Comes with 3 holes cut out. One on one end and two on the other. Also has the nice silver inserts that emulate the cut and cute yellow flags that just drop into them. So you're not going to grab the flag and pull out the balls and tilt it over, btw. (would have been a nice touch if it worked this way). You do have 3 grass inserts if you want to remove any of the holes. You also get a nice strip that allows you to add slope to your putt and you can insert it anywhere - which is another nice touch. Most are fixed. One well thought out feature was the grass/rough around the edges. This is designed to not only look cool, but also stop the balls from falling off the mat. The turf simulates pretty much what you might find at most public golf courses from a realism point of view. Definitely not high end stimpmeter capable - which is not a bad thing. I really enjoy using this as a putting aid way better than the previous cloth mat I used to have. As well, it looks WAY cooler! Nice job!

This Ponsonbay golf putting mat is fantastic because it feels just like a real green. The sand pit adds an extra challenge, and it's perfect for practicing at home. I use this every day to improve my putting skills. Don't know how I lived without this! The only downside is that it takes up quite a bit of space.
