It's a keeper!
Well what a wonderful little machine. I had recently bought a small teardrop camper. I didn't get one with the AC since some of the reviews I've read about them overheating not enough airflow to the back of the AC. So been looking for a solution. Went to YouTube and I have seen people use a window AC but that involves drilling out to cholesterol in my new camper. Yep I thought that was a horrible idea too. So after some research I came across this magnificent little masterpiece. It was 91 degrees in Watkins Glen last week but it was 70 in my camper. Worked effortlessly through the day and night. So easy to use there's even an app. To simplify the simple. Yeah it's a little pricey but it's worth it.

False advertising.
I got the unit thinking it would be 8 hours of run time, and only need about 400 wtts to charge up. It takes more than 400 wtts to run and I only get about 3-4 hours on the lowest setting with the temp at 68. It barely cools an insulated 4 runner back converted for camping. It’s winter rn and it’s barely able to keep up with 75 degrees outside and the temp in the vehicle gets up to 86 with out the ac. The temp gets brought down to 75 which is manageable but in the summer this unit will be useless to me.I feel lied to and wasted my money on this purchase. For a few hundred more $$$ I could have got the zero breeze off their website (mark 2 that I have now) and I get 24 hours of good ac. I will be trying to sell this unit to someone who doesn’t need it to run for more than 3-4 hours.

Decent to cool off a small room, van, or truck topper camper...
So I got this for overlanding to put into my truck topper camper I am having built. As of now I am using it in a small bedroom and for that type of space it deliversa decent enough cool down of the room. When the room is at about 85 degrees the Wave 2 will cool it down to around 75 to 72degrees when I have it on normal (not max) at 60 degree setting.A must is using the drain tube and making sure it drains as if you don't drain water whenit is full (has a digital icon for this) the cool air will not be very cool. All in all this is decent enough for a small room or van or truck camper top. I have only used at 85 degreesbut plan on testing it at 90, 95 and 100 whenever is gets to the those temps outside here.I will probably be testing and reviewing the Wave 2 and other Ecoflow products on my Youtube channel once I'm on the road in my truck.topper camper and have my Youtube channel up and running.

Unit failed after less than 10 short uses.
When it was working it cooled well and was quiet, especially when compared to our larger 14k BTU units. We used the Wave2 to cool down a 10x10 bedroom with south facing windows that heat up the room during the day. We hooked up both the vent and intake hose to the window and used some foam boards to take up the empty space.Unfortunately, after a small number of short uses (less than 1 hour each use), our unit started shutting down on its own, with the app showing “Abnormal Temperature Sensor” error. The workaround for this is to remove all power from the unit, plug it back in, and turn it back on. This only fixed the issue temporarily, as after 5-10 minutes, the unit shuts down and shows the same error again. I’ve opened a support case with Ecoflow already and hope to get this addressed.

Just used this on a month long trip
Our wave2 is installed through the floor of our sprinter van. This way we have a stealth van with a/c. The A/C can not keep up at all during the day. We planned to bring our dogs but the A/C could not keep it low enough even at night to keep the dogs from panting. It did keep us comfortable most nights. It did take the humidity out of the air when we needed it. When we needed heat it worked well enough. It did not use our batteries much at all and that's why you still might want this thing. It works best if you have an eccoflow main battery, we do not. The way we use it we discovered that buying the extra battery was a waste. There is quite a bit parasitic draw from its battery when the unit is off. I wouldn't do another trip without it but I am still hesitant to recommend it.

It works but not as good as promoted
I have this in a 6ft by 8 ft insulation part of a box truck hoping to cool it down on hot days. It doesn’t. I have ran it all night to even try to help and it still doesn’t cool it down. I can’t believe it would work in a tent with no insulation at all. I have had it only 6 months and have sent it back for repair twice. Their customer service lost the returned unit the last time and it took months to get the unit back. They have had the unit as long as I have at that point. The heater doesn’t work any better. The battery doesn’t hold a charge as long as they advertised either. They must use the lowest setting in the most preferable environments.WAY TOO MUCH MONEY FOR SO LITTLE PERFORMANCE. NOT A GOOD BUY.

cool and heat
bought for camping trips and seems to do well taking the edge off the heat for sleeping at night and having the heat as a backup to my diesel heater is a plus.

A must for a Van Build
Bought for our van conversion build. Bigger than I would like and the vent and drains are a pain, but it’s a necessary addition, providing heat and AC in one unit is worth it.
