I have started using tempera paint sticks with my Posca pens where I need a larger flood of color without going through half a paint pen. They work great! They have beautiful, smooth colors, quick drying time and a super cute carrying box where you can see all the colors! The only thing I noticed when swatching colors is 2-3 don’t exactly match the barrel. But they’re a great, affordable, medium. They feel like you’re drawing with lipstick. I am an adult using these in my sketchbook. If for a child, I will note they might get a little messy because most likely a child wouldn’t wait for a drying time and may smear them. They are quick drying, just not like a crayon. Highly suggested along with the more “glue stick” style tempera crayons out there. These have more control.

These are really fun for crafting/art time with your little ones.But honestly anyone who enjoys coloring, or paint pens would have fun with these.I love the variety of colors they give you, 36 total, but a ton of various shades and tones of each color allowing you to blend colors and create a masterpiece.I like that the case they come in, also can be saved/used to store them long term and keep them together as well as organize/tidy.I would buy these again once they dry up/run out

However, with a finer tip there is less product, but I love how creamy they are.

So many colors, so fun to use

I bought these for myself. As an illustrator I really like the smoothness of these. It’s almost like drawing with lipstick and really easy on my hands. It has a pastel-like texture and I like how it doesn’t smudge too much. I like to use q-tips to blend colors/clean up spots.
