There are plenty of videos and pictures so I'll just say yes, that's what mine looks like too.I washed this brush (gently swished it bristle down in a sink of warm water with a squirt of shampoo in it, then set to dry on a hand towel) before using it and got no strong weird odors, just normal wooden brush smells.I have fine hair that goes down to my mid-back. This brush works well to smooth and detangle and feels nice and gentle on my scalp.I switched to wood and animal horn brushes and combs about fifteen years ago because I was tired of the insane static that plastic gave me. I still have zero regrets about switching.This is a nice brush at a nice price point. Bamboo is renewable (okay, it's a weed, but still, renewable!) and sturdy. I expect this brush to last years, easy.The only part I would have even the mildest complaint about is that it's really difficult to find wooden paddle brushes like this one without ball topped bristles. Nearly all of them have this style. The Body Shop used to sell wooden brushes with a straight style wooden bristle and brushing with one of those feels really nice and scritchy. The ball tops are less satisfying to scritch with. Both styles work fine for brushing hair, so I guess it doesn't really matter. I just like a good scalp scratch every now and then.

Great brush. I recently started (re-started) brushing my hair 100 strokes each night. I wash my hair nightly (mainly due to allergies) and it was becoming dry. Brushing my hair 100 strokes helps redistribute natural oils and keeps my hair shiny, wavy and bright. But, my old brush was too harsh on my scalp. This brush is just firm enough to get the job done, but soft enough that it does not hurt my scalp.,

My scalp feels so so nice with this brush! It brushes smoothly through my hair and doesn’t tear my hair when I have knots either wet/dry! The brush is such good quality of hard real wood as well as the bristles being smooth! Totally recommend!

Really easy to use and it seems like it’s not cheaply made. Brushes my hair really well and simple to clean. I love the appearance of it and quality. Doesn’t break my hair at all. Definitely worth it.

I bought this brush to help with my hair oiling journey. This perfectly stimulates my scalp prior to applying the oil and it never pulls my hair. Great quality bamboo handle and bristles. It is a great brush for the money and it does the job I need it to. It feels smooth over my scalp and feels great.

This brush fits very comfortably in your hand and is not at all cumbersome. The bamboo bristles are rounded at the end and are strong but flexible enough to get through my hair, get the tangles out, and give a lovely gentle scalp massage! Awesome brush!!
