Good quality wire.
This stuff is great. I thought I had a crappy foam cutter, but it was just a wire I was using once I put this stuff on it cuts like a laser.

Cuts through foam like a blowtorch through butter
I bought this wire for a hot wire foam cutter I built from scratch. Using an online nichrome wire calculator, this gauge wire should work perfectly. I am using a 12 volt 6 amp power supply, 5.5mm jacks, and a pulse width modulator all purchased on Amazon. The foam cutter works exactly as expected. Plenty of wire for several projects and/or to restring my foam cutter if and when it becomes necessary. One word of caution--the spool will try to unwind itself when you untwist it!

used to cut Styrofoam. the longer the run the more voltage needed .using a variable transformer works great. just dont let it golw red or it will break

I assume this wire would work for any hot-wire cutter. I haven't tried it on my 52" bow, but I'm sure it will make just as good cuts on that bow as it did my 28" home-made bow. Looking forward to making some cool stuff with this wire on the bow!

I like this wire, it fits perfectly my hot knife and works great together. The wire came sooner so I could finish my Christmas village styrofoam platform
