Super sturdy, great size for a side-by-side fridge.
These freeze quickly, come out easy and are large enough for an ice bath as long as your tap water doesn't come out warm to begin with. They aren't too big to keep in the freezer long term and work great in coolers too. They are heavy and very sturdy so they don't slosh too much.

Saves money
Nice to have block ice on hand. Got some ice bags and I make a few of these to have ready

Great quality
Nice and thick so when filled with water and transporting to the freezer they don’t collapse.

Takes a long time to melt
Got so I can make my own ice bocks for the 5 gallon drink cooler. Huge block, 5”x5”x8” roughly. Takes a long time to melt. Does require letting the ice thaw a couple of minutes to remove. This is solid, closer to tire tread than to the lightweight silicone most ice trays are made of.

Needs a lid
Works ok , bottom bulges when water freezes,, but makes a nice piece of ice that is easy to remove,A lid would be nice, difficult to carry a full container of water to the freezer without some spillage.

Great summer time ice block maker
I got this to make ice blocks to use in my cooler for summer parties and it does not disappoint. I fill it up and set it in my chest freezer overnight, and have a nice solid ice block in the morning. I like to make a few blocks and leave them in the freezer so that when it is time to load up the cooler i can throw two or tree in and go without having to stop to buy bags of ice. Added bonus, the blocks seem to last much longer than a bag, because of the reduced surface area compared to a sack of ice cubes.

Blocks of ice!
While I'm not into ice plunges/baths, I had other ideas in mind for this product. As summer is heating up more and more here in the Pacific NorthWest, we find ourselves looking for ways to help our rescue animals beat the heat. This ice mold, which is the size of a loaf pan--but much deeper--fits in a standard refrigerator-freezer (if it's not already packed with, say, ice cream) or chest freezer. What I'm doing is freezing a block every day, loading the blocks into freezer bags in halves, and building up an ice supply for chilling our horses' water when temperatures climb into the 90s and above. While they have access to water in both their stalls and outdoors, it doesn't take long for water to heat, and horses prefer cold water. This ensures they get their required intake of around 5 gallons per day each, as they actually won't drink as much if the water is warm. For our doggos: we keep a water bowl outside on our deck, and while shaded by awnings, the ambient temperature requires ice, so putting out CHUNKS of ice several times per day ensures that they'll get their water chilled, or at least cool. I am freezing a block per day right now. I like the flexibility of the ice mold...if I have to squish it in, I don't care if the block is lopsided. It's functionality that I like. The only issue I have is that I have to either use a butter knife to loosen the ice, or pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds to loosen it. No micro? Flip it over and run warm water on it. It's great at what it does, though, and at that price, if you're into ice baths or building your own ice igloos, it won't break the bank to purchase multiple blocks to get your chill on. (And because it's not metal, it won't scratch your countertop or clang loudly if dropped!)

Perfect mold for making extra large ice blocks
This has been awesome for making huge ice blocks to take camping. They last so much longer in the cooler and thus makes them so much easier to freeze and pack being a consistent shape.
