LEGO NXT Gyro sensor

Q: Will this sensor work with the Mindstorm EV3 or is it only for the NXT version? Thanks

Although the EV3 has its own sensors, the manufacturers indicate that sensors made for the NXT, such as this, will also work with the newer EV3. Please note that this version reads movement in only one direction, but that works fine for any rolling NXT robot, since it can only counter movement front to back. My daughter has two of these and they worked well with her NXT Segway type robots.
