We have 7 chicken coops. All are constructed to be predator proof, and they are. We utilize corregated galvanized steel roof panels for our houses and the small portion of our runs that we place a roof over to keep food, dust baths and grit/oyster shell dispensers dry. As you can imagine, the edges of these roof panels are dangerously sharp. For several months, we tried just about everything we could find that would take the panels to a safe state. Several months ago, we purchased a few of the 10' rolls of this 1/16th Self-Adhesive Rubber Edge Trim to try on one of our coops. The rubber was left in the Sun for over an hour so that is was very pliable. The Edge Trim applies directly to the metal with Self-Adhesive built into the Rubber Edge Trim. We have used the 100' roll we ordered this time and intend to order another 100'. The black color sets it off and let's you know exactly where the edges are. It's thick enough to safely cover the razor sharp edges and fits the edges and adheres to them solid. We have already used the first Trim that we purchased several months ago, in Florida Sun, and it holds up very well. Excellent Value 5 Stars

Works well. Very pliable. The self-adhesive works best on metal surfaces.

Actually got this a year ago for my brand new Kia Forte i put it on the hood after I went to change the wiper blades....the blades actually scraped the hood when lifted up (stupid design...if you open the hood first they won't scrape). Lesson learned too late though, I was upset scraped paint off my brand new car. So dealership gave me touch up paint then I bought this and put on hood to prevent it from happening again. It's been a year now and still looks new and has stayed in place and serving it's purpose.

This trim is made of decent quality rubber, it'll perish but will last for quite some time. I suspect that the glue however will let go of the rubber, it's not bonded to the rubber, it's a strip of sticky jelly like material. It'll dry out, it'll perish, I think it'll let go long before the rubber perishes.

Excellent product. Worked exactly as I had expected. The latest garden edging material is sheet metal. For a small fee, the supplier will cut the metal to the desired length. Once installed in the garden, the sharp edge becomes a problem. You can use the rubber trim to protect against sharp edges. Looks great and will last a long time. No worries!!!
