Excellent performance
Bought for general marking of positions of various things. shake the pen well and press the tip for sometime ( in and out) when first use. The paint will flow then mark whatever you need. Let it dry for a bit its flipping paint at the end! doesnt come off once dry by handling. Probably will wear away if used with solvents (duh!)so determine what you need it for before you buy else it does what it says on the tin. My opinion general purpose marking on metal/painted metal.

Starting right is crucial
Many people fail to get these working right and complain that the ink is watery or that they only work once. These things can happen. The pens need really shaking and I MEAN REALLY SHAKING! You have to hear that ball banging off the ends inside and if it stops ( which it easily can ) you need to shake even harder till it starts again. This needs to go on for a good minute or longer. Then you need to press the pen up and down on the tip repeatedly but not so hard that you splay the end of the tip out. Once the tip becomes white it will work, but the top needs to go back on tight every time. Do all this and they work brilliantly. I’ve had one I use for marking dismantled machinery parts that’s lasted at least 5 years although I did get grease on the end of it’s predecessor and that pretty much ruined it.

Crystal clear marking
Just love this pen - works on a huge variety of surfaces and is easy to apply neatly with just the right amount of feedback through the nib. Never had one before - wouldn't be without one now - around the house, in the garage, on the boat, in the garden . So useful!

Excellent for marking precise engineering pieces.
Verygood, the tip is fairly fine so a precise mark can be made and the paint laid down dries quickly and lasts well.

Great edding quality
Used to paint mark bolts after a service, I haven’t found a surface yet it won’t mark on, even with the most cursory of cleanup.

Paint, in a pen.
It's paint in a pen. I use it to touch up my Alloys.

OK at first.
Was OK to start with then then got a bit messy pushing the nib a few times for more paint to come out.
