Paul Wadlington2020 Longhorn Football Prospectus: Thinking Texas Football

Paul Wadlington has given the avid Texas Longhorn football fan a great gift. This is a comprehensive, very knowledgeable analysis of the UT program and the Big 12 conference. Its greatest virtues are its coherent connecting of dots and its witty, readable prose. Great pre-season read as well as a week to week in-season reference. Highly recommended.

TTF has been an annual purchase for me since the premiere edition. I know I'm going to get a clear-eyed look at what we have, what we're missing, what should go right and what could go wrong. Plus solid analyses of the teams on our schedule and some of the best sports writing you'll find anywhere (and I do mean ANYwhere).Haven't bothered with ESPN for years, but I don't fail to get the annual TTF.

This is an excellent publication. The author is knowledgeable, and provides well considered and very well researched facts and opinions in a manner that is easy to understand and enjoyable to read.I gave up previews years ago as they were seemingly all the same. A blurb regurgitating commonly known information as breaking news and in depth analysis. Maybe a list of key players, almost inevitably including a player or two who had already graduated or retired due to injury. Lazy work. This is anything but the case here. This is a different kind of publication and is well worth the price.

This is my fourth year of Thinking Texas Football. I am a fan that gets the most info as I can on my Horns, Thinking Texas Football goes way beyond the mere review of games and players. You will smile(or cringe) with his cultural references and metaphors and makes sure you get as much as you can handle of Horn Football. I definitely appreciate his ability to make Football accessible and entertaining beyond the stats. Highly recommended!

Another year and another amazing preseason preview from Mr. Wadlington. This preview goes in depth on the Horns and the Big 12 better than any other preseason publication. It also is written in a smart and humorous way. I cannot recommend this preview enough for hard core Longhorn fans and for any Big 12 football fans looking to get some non-biased intel on their own football team.
