I used it by itself abd still got my desired moisture. The serum is thick on its own by mixing other oil it might become too heavy and greasy when applied. Hope you find this helpfull. However, it doesn't seem to have the same effect on my arms so I'm currently using it to soften the dry skin around my elbow area. So far, it seems to be doing the trick.
