There are sixteen chapters. Each one narrates a short adventure, and at the end of several of them, we have black and white drawings with instructions to put into practice in real life the adventure we have just read.Recommended

This is a really creative and smart way to teach the kids about taking care of themselves in challenging situations. Storyline segments are actually interspersed with actual survival advice. So the advice itself becomes engaging - and, as always, education that's interesting always sticks better in anyone's - let alone kids' - minds. Very good, and nicely written.

I actually found a lot of the practical tips make a lot of sense for someone with almost not experience in nature. A lot of good, useful tips and tricks for anyone to know, especially those planning to spend time away from civilization even if it's just the occasional camping trip...

a guide that's turned into a story, fantastic, my only complaint is that it is lacking in good illustrations - especially for children.

The media could not be loaded.  Such a nice and detailed wilderness survival guide, ordered for my nephew, he is 9yo and is about to go on a camping trip with his dad next weekend. he loves the book and has been talking about foraging, camping, and survival tips that he has learned from the book. page quality is nice and the price is also worth it.
