I'd needed something flat and level to hold my dry pantry items. This crate is the perfect size and shape for a typical kitchen shelf (if turned to the side). I love that there are gaps on the sides so I can still see enough of the packaging to know what to grab. It was super easy to assemble by fitting the ends together and securing with small dowels. A few were too loose to do any good, but fortunately, they include extras. Also included is a decent sized chalkboard for labeling, as well as a chalk pen. There doesn't seem to be a discernable amount of stain or seal on the wood, and I'd noticed some tiny splinters during assembly/handling. Therefore, I'd recommend wearing gloves. If you're going to be handling this crate frequently with bare hands, I would suggest applying stain or sealant. Or take it a step further and give it a light sanding. The price point of $19.99 seems decent considering the size, appearance, quality, functionality, and reasonable durability. I can see this being ideal for storing record albums, as well as other types of media such as books, photo albums, scrapbooks, etc. The possibilities are endless. Not sure I would put super heavy items in this crate, but it can certainly handle a moderate amount of weight.

Overall this is a decent rustic-looking crate for storage. It was easy enough to put together but there was a gap inside where the side didn't fit tightly. The wood isn't very heavy but it feels sturdy-ish. The staining is the downside as it's very spotty, seems to have been applied carelessly. I will only be using this inside of a cupboard now where the staining issue isn't a big deal. It feels like something you'd find at a craft store or maybe even "dollar" type stores.

I got this for our kids drop zone items, there is always something by the door.-It is quick and easy to put together, the wood is solid plywood and the dowels do stay in, if you will be moving it around a lot I would suggest putting some glue on the dowel when you put it in.-It comes with a chalk marker to label the chalkboard which is a nice solid board with chalkboard vinyl surface.I would definitely recommend these bins, they would fancy up a boring pantry, drop some, kids room, playroom, laundry room or closet.

I got this for hand tool storage in the garage for easier access than the tool box and it's perfect. It was super easy to set up and I had some wood glue handy so I enforced the joints with them to keep it extra secure. The chalkboard is a nice touch, makes it a little fancier. It looks nice enough to use indoors as well.

I got this small crate to store my onions and potatoes in a dark, cold place in my garage. This is exactly what I expected and was pretty quick to assemble. My young daughter put it together and labeled it with the included chalk pen.
