Rock Empire Nylon Open Sling These 20mm or 16mm, open-nylon sling from Rock Empire area good choice for those on a budget or those looking for something beefier than Dyneema. Nylon Sling are economical but strong, they're coming in three lengths and they can cope with most situations. Nylon slings have reliability second to none, with a longevity that will out last the thinner Dyneema tapes. But because these slings are wider and made from a heavier material they weigh more. The good thing about Nylon slings is that they give good visual re-assurance, which does help with confidence.

Using mine on the lines on my narrowboat
I use my narrowboat single-handed and was looking for a way to more effectively use my centre lines. Basically I wanted a movable loop to pull on and to fix to bollards. Now I use two of these, one on each line. I attached them using a Prusik Knot. With these I have much better control, and can easily adjust and slide the Prusik Knot if I need to re-position the sling. Will be getting another pair!

As good as any.
Ordered one of those to try out and I am not disappointed. Used it in an anchor system for top rope sandstone climbing and it seems to be as good as any other sling I have/had. The price is really competitive and I will definitely be buying more of those.

A great sling
A great 180cm sling and arrived v quickly (next day I think) on standard delivery. The sling is a single loop (ie it is not a length with loops a either end as some have suggested), see photo. This sling is 180cm long ie the circumference is twice that. Using it for a hanging chair and it works v well.

Trusty sling.
This is a very safe, strong and useful climbing sling. Very well manufactured, a very useful and trustworthy piece of kit.

2x rock slings
Great description of item really helped with deciding the length of sling needed, I'm using them to suspend a DD hammock and they are brilliant. I'm a "large" chap and they take my weight with no sign of letting me down....

Colour a bit pale
I was hoping for brighter colours than I actually received.I plan to use it for kayak sea rescues and the pale green/blue doesn't stand out well in water.Otherwise it looks a solid bit of kit.
