Works very well. Shines green when plugged and no bat installed yet. steady Red when charging steady green is charged Flashing green means battery needs attention Flashing red means too hot, charging is stopped Quite happy with this. Not as small as expected, it is about the same size as the battery itself. The instructions in the leaflet are slightly different to those on the actual battery charger.

We are slowly moving our tool set from one brand to another. We have a number of chargers, having an in van option is on the list. If you are in the same position then you will understand that this is a niche product being car charged via a cig lighter. As it will sit in the van it needs to be tough as it will be bounced around on the dash and in sunlight a lot. It may be great for that, but my impression is that it is not 10/10 robust just maybe 7/10 robust. I would still say buy it, just think about that in your decision. I tried two genuine batteries in it, they both fitted well. One had maybe less than 20% charge, It charged, not a fast charge but it is a bonus, I would say it charged at an average rate. When it showed fully charged I checked it in an OE charger and it showed as full. It does not come with any instructions of note but is very simple to understand. If I saw it in a shop I would buy it. You know your own idea of value. I think this is an OK backup option.

I got this for my Makita cordless drill battery as the original charger stopped working. The charger itself comes with an user manual but the charger is used exactly as the original one - just connect the battery and charging will commence. Good value for money

Absolute rubbish. Did not work, simply wasted our time. Don’t spend your money on this.
