You can't have too many cowbells, and when they're purple the more the better. These are solidly made, and though they don't have deep tones or much in the way of reverberation, they certainly clang like cow bells do. These are all one note. My husband likes to use different musical instruments in his class and sometimes uses them for game quizzes. Cow bells work great like buzzers for trivia contests. Because these are so inexpensive, he can even give them away at the end of class. I will use some as cool decorations on gifts. The color is certainly striking and will make a great impression on recipients .A cowbell beats a plain, old bow any day. I might also decorate a wreath with one of them.
