Munich Wolf: The gripping new 2024 Sunday Times bestselling thriller

Fact and Fiction seamlessly interwoven.
I have read many books written by Rory Clements and I’ve never been disappointed. The way he seamlessly interweaves historical facts and utterly believable fiction is, once again masterfully executed. This story in particular is testament to his mastery of the craft of writing fiction; a first rate wordsmith.

Interesting and pacy thriller
The genre of German cop who isn't a nazi in pre/during war Germany but who struggles with what he sees is a busy one - Munich wolf ticks along nicely with good characterisation and an interesting plot , it's a good read. It has the advantage over most others of the genre that you don't catch yourself comparing it to Phillip Kerr's Bernie Gunther books too harshly.

History Murder Combo
Set in Munich in 1935, during the rise and rise of Hitler, it blends historical events interwoven across the murder of an upper class English girl and the attempts of Detective Seb Wolff to solve it, without getting crushed by the new Germany. Very easy to read and a veritable page turner. Interesting too, to read about the antics of upper class English girls who adored Hitler

Exciting and interesting
I had never realised that Munich was such a hotbed of intrigue during the thirties. I know the city quite well and I found myself transported there back in time, although even today I could easily imagine some the people I know falling into the roles of the characters in the book. A fascinating and exciting read.

A really good page turner that was bit different for 1930s Germany
I really enjoyed this book which as usual well written with some great little subplots and some different insights to the the Nazis .

Thrilling from start to finish
Clearly built characters who seemed to come more real as the book went on. The thirties was an edgy time in Germany for the officers of the criminal police and this book captures that brilliantly. Easy reading and I loved it.

Absolute blockbuster
Clements knows how to craft a story, Munich Wolf was an engrossing read, with relatable characters that exemplified the 1930’s Germany as Hitler’s rise to power was consolidating. Brilliant script, as historical figures are captured within the narrative that provides a snap shot of pre-war Munich. Look forward to the next adventure.

very nice
Great characters - I hope there is a sequel. The history is amazing and the sense of place lovingly developed. A scary time.

Excellent reading!
RC has done it again with this fictional story which contains a fair element of fact. Set in pre WW11 in Munich, much of the facts relate to the people and places in this prelude to the German, Hitler, Nazi world war. Fast moving and full of twists and turns, an excellent read as the heading suggests. Well done, RC.
