I Love Fall!: A Touch-and-Feel Board Book

It's a sweet story with adorable illustrations, and my 1 year old grandson had just started to "feel" touch-&-feel spots, so this was a great purchase for me all around! I also like that the story is happy about Fall, not sad like some stories (sad that the leaves are falling). It celebrates Autumn!!

This is a great board book for introducing the season of Fall to young ones. It did take a bit of time for my one year old to warm up to this book but you can do so many fun things with it. At the beginning her basket is empty and so we've talked about that as we read and how she fills the basket with Fall goodies. The touch and feel places are nice with a few unique ones thrown in - a pie tin (my daughter loves running her finger over that one) and the wicker basket. The only ones that are small are the leaves but at least they make quite a few touchable. We like to touch the things she picks up and move our fingers to her basket to show that she's filling it up. The colors and scenes in the book are lovely. Now, this is a first pick when we have reading time because of the interactions we've created as we read with the book.

I first became aware of this book because they have it in the infant room at my daughter's daycare. One of the teachers mentioned to me that my daughter seemed to really love it and would bring it up to have it read to her, over and over. She was probably about 11 months at the time.Natually, I had to get it!I could quickly see what she loved so much. It has beautiful illustrations, fun rhymes, and great textures for each page. Her favorite page by far was the one where she got to feel the "pie tin" that grandma is using to make pies and treats.I highly recommend this book, my daughter is now 18 months and she still loves it!

The pictures in this book are beautiful, but the "touch and feel" aspects are pretty unexciting. The page with the leaves is especially disappointing. You can hardly see the little leaves that you're supposed to be able to feel. My grandson hurries through this book, and the only page that seems to get his attention is the one with the crinkly pie pan.

This is such a sweet book with very cute illustrations. Fall is my favorite season, and I wanted to get my daughter some books to read in anticipation of that time of year...this book was a perfect choice. It's easy to read, easy to understand, and is just an enjoyable little story. The textures to "touch and feel" aren't anything major, but it doesn't matter to me...it's still an adorable book and there is enough for my little girl to reach out and run her fingers over to keep her interested. She loves this book, and so do I!

Great book

My toddler loves any books about other kids and looking at what they are doing. She doesn’t really get the animals used as people in books (non-reality) so we don’t really buy those books. This one has cute artwork too and is perfect for our fall season book collection.
