Life Changer!
This cane has cahnged my life! I can now access places I couldn't before. Easy to use to climb stairs or anywhere that you needs a step up. Safely provides functionality with multiple height adjustments. Step size is just right - not too narrow or too wide. Cane weight is a bit on the heavy size, but it's solidly built.

Just What I Needed
A stroke left me with mobility issues. Many of my relatives have stairs, and I wasn't able to visit them as I can't handle full-sized steps any more without help (sometimes the 'help' I get isn't helpful, and sometimes I don't get help at all). This assist cane was exactly what I needed. The cane is sturdy and provides the half-step I need. I love being able to use stairs all by myself again! The step is small, so I would not recommend it to large-footed people or those with poor balance.

Pretty nice
Overall it's a good cane/step combo. The step part doesn't slide out/in very easily but maybe after using a few times it will loosen up some. If you are used to using a cane with the 4 feet, this should be a pretty easy transition. For me, I'm used to having a cane with the 3 or 4 feet but that moves and flexes like your ankle so with being rigid with no flex is proving to be a bigger transition so I doubt I would use on a daily basis. It will be for those times when I need the step portion. Ideally, they modify this to have that flex movement and make this a much better unit.

Depends on person.
This works as described. It takes a little practice. The reason I only gave it three stars is because the platform number one is hard to pull out number two pretty small.

It Works!
Very helpful in getting up stairs but it is too awkward to use as a cane which then requires two aids.

Not for me
thought this would be OK after coming out of the hospital. The curb from the parking lot, just before the stairs, is way too high for a normal step. I tried using this but was unable to control it. It might be ok as a regular cane, but the bottom piece kept getting in the way.

Sturdy design and helpful
My husband loves this tool. He feels much safer walking outside. The height adjustment was as described. It is very sturdy while being a comfortable weight. He’s still struggling with using it on stairs which I think will improve with practice.
