Update: On TG5 I use this camera everyday and this lens cover works for me to keep the lens from getting damaged and dirty. It is not waterproof. If your using the camera rafting or in a wet environment and want to protect the lens I suggest a thread in lens filter. These fit right in the bezel ring . Oh and this unit is way overpriced! But it was what I needed and less than the manufacturers item. This camera has so many functions it can get to be overwhelming. It is not just a point and shoot. Read the documentation, it's all in there. If you want to get great photos spend some time playing with it and reading the documentation. Previous review: The LensCap fit great on my OlympusTG5 camera. Easy to use can just slip my finger around the front and slide the cover back rather than having to reach my whole hand around on the twist type. Also like the way the slide locks in place and both the open and close position. Just remove the bezel ring on the camera and then put the cover on and give it a quarter turn it will lock in place just like the bezel ring does. Arrived ahead of time.

Wanted protection for my lens, this stay on cap does the trick. I gave it a 4 only because I feel like a protective cap should have came with the camera! There were no directions when this cap arrived. I’ll make things a little easy for you LOL! You have to press the unlock button and remove the ring around the lens that comes with the camera. To install the new protective cap...You once again press the unlock button keeping your finger out of the way of installing...and just snap it on then turn till secure. I stored the original camera ring in the little box the cap came in for safe keeping!! Happy to be protected ;)

I love the way this works, a simple slide vs. a cap that comes off and hangs from strap or gets dropped...BUT you must remove the lens ring from the camera to install. There are no instructions for this process.

This a great product and a wonderful alternative to the Olympus branded lens protector. It doesn't look as nice, I'll admit, and yet I'll happily save some cash and go with this very functional product. Also, it's compatible with the silicone camera cover, which is a nice plus. The cover is a little tough to open up, but frankly, I think that's a good thing as you don't want it sliding open just any old time. A worthwhile investment and I'm very happy with it.

Seems to fit well. Expensive, as others noted, but having just paid $200 to Olympus to replace the scratched glass (which incidentally never happened on our old TG-4), it could be worth every cent.

Don't fit and if it did I would return it anyway. It's thin plastic. The little door is flimsyI wouldn't pay $40 for it.

Tg6 camera—liked that it protected-easy to put on. Remember to put it on AFTER the silicon cover

I like having the extra lens protection. Does not interfere with operation. Has stayed on well.
