Great book!
Great book, much better than the previous one for the IB diploma. Follows the syllabus as the previous one but has less "useless" information. Helps you with your written task and further oral assessment (both compulsory to get the IB diploma).

Five Stars
Came highly recommended and with a cursory look it appears to be just what is needed for IB support.

Proving invaluable
This book is so well structured and follows the IB syllabus. The text used are most appropriate, varied and sudent-friendly. Example assignments/papers are resources that students find invaluable, including those who (for various reasons) have missed classroom time. This book allows them to work at their own pace and depth to successfully cover the course.

Far too dumb-downed for the IB
Although the layout is very clear, the actual content is very disappointing. The example written/oral tasks are far too simplistic and the corresponding grades/examiner comments seem to be so lenient that they don't help students to gain a realistic idea of the level required. The linguistic terms are rather general and the recommended further resources are often off-topic. The other IB book is far more rigorous and academic despite the off-putting design.

Thin
I agree with one of the other reviewers that this guide compares poorly to some of the others. In fact, it makes for unremarkable, thin reading, compared to the Oxford edition which addresses more satisfactorily the complexity of the subject. I have both, and use this one only for examples of assessment tasks, while the Oxford offers more interesting questions and issues and a more satisfyingly academic approach overall.
