This is not a direct, drop-in replacement to older models. The wiring order at the terminal is, for whatever reason, completely different to my older model. The ‘start’ button is also not compatible with older models. On this throttle, it is a simple button (a ‘normally open momentary switch’) meant to send a brief signal to a compatible controller module. On my older model, the button clicks into a depressed/ON mode, and released/OFF mode (a latching switch).Unfortunately I will not be providing a very detailed wiring diagram - you must figure this out yourself (and you can, trust me), but I bought this as a replacement to an seemingly physically identical throttle which had broken. I am attaching my slightly ADHD-brained scrap of paper where I eventually worked out which wires go where. But for God’s sake, yours might be (and probably is) different, so make sure you figure out the wiring yourself.Almost all the components are the same, so the wires can be fairly easily re-ordered in the terminal socket, but you will really need to sit down with pen and paper, disassemble both throttles, and trace each wire from start to finish. As you will see from my diagram, the colors are not consistent - the wires literally change color inside the throttle housings - and you will need to do a bit of soldering yourself as the start button is also not compatible with older models ( you will need to cannibalize the older button).But hey, at least it exists, and gives you enough to work with if you’re desperate.
