Already have a ball and pin, being able to buy just the bar is perfect. Exactly what I need and for a good price and fast shipping.

For those of you who prefer a product description be accurate be aware that the actual measurements are not the measurements the manufacture states. They are close but not as stated. The actual drop is 2-1/4". The rise is 1-1/8" and the center to center from the 1" diameter ball hole to the ball to 5/8" pin hole is 10-1/4". Curt builds a quality part but with this one and other Curt items i have recently purchased the measurements are close but not 100% accurate.

Sturdy, nice finish, does the job.It’s hard to find products made in the USA but this one is and fits the bill to the tee.

Normal ball mounts in the box stores are too short and put the trailer jack under the tailgate making it to where the theTailgate didn't go down all of the way. This mount is just a little longer not much, but enough to clear the tailgate when it is down.

Works like a champ in my John Deere Gator 590i. My Gator has the 2" receiver recessed back under the bed to the point that the jack handle on some of our trailers interferes with the Gator's tailgate. To move the trailer ball back out a few inches, I used this Curt 45040 ball mount, which has a 10 1/4 " length. Works perfect and has the trailer just far enough back to allow the jack handle to turn without hitting the Gator's tailgate.Good sturdy construction, though it tends to rattle a bit in my 2" receiver

Well made and packaged

Very well made, excellent paint/powder coat job, nice weld lines. 10-1/4" represents distance of centerline pin hole to ball hole. I ordered so the ball would stick out a bit further from rear bumper and help in cornering. Plus also permit me to lift rear hatch without hitting bow of boat. Does the job but in my case I should of gone out about 2" more.

Perfect for my Jeep Liberty. The spare tire gets in the way with a regular length
