Great hitch, mostly easy install.
I bought my 2013 Ram Express without the factory hitch receiver. I figured I could save a bit of money and just add one when I needed to pull a trailer. Well, the day came when I had to pull one, so I ordered the Curt 13333. This receiver matched right up to the factory bolt holes in the frame member that runs behind the rear bumper. I watched a few YouTube videos of the installation process prior to attempting the install which made it easier to understand. The instructions explain it well enough, but I like to see it actually being done as well. The only part that you'll need to be very careful with is feeding the bolt through the frame member. The kit includes the wires to do this, but you will have to remove the wire and hold the bolt as you put on the nut. If the bolt falls back into the frame you'll have to either try and fish it out or just buy a new bolt. The only other part that required any special attention was getting the right hex bit for the bolt that goes down through the bumper, and borrowing a torque wrench strong enough for the required settings. Once it was all done, the hitch performed flawlessly in allowing me to tow a medium sized motorcycle trailer.

Fits A Dodge Ram Hemi Sport With Rear Fascia Bracket Modification
I was told by 4 sellers on different websites that this hitch didn't fit my 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi Sport, or the SRT 10 or the Rumble Bee. I knew that my rear bumper was exactly the same as all of the other Dodge Ram trucks from 11-02 on so, I wondered what all the fuss was about as to why this wouldn't work........? After careful inspection underneath my vehicle I discovered what all of the fuss was about as to why this wouldn't work on a Hemi Sport, SRT 10 or a Rumble Bee, and they are correct it wont work......UNLESS.....you are willing to make one simple 20 to 30 minute modification at the rear fascia bracket. Hemi Sport, SRT 10, and Rumble Bee,......well I am assuming that the SRT 10 and Rumble Bee are a no fit for the same reason, I can only really say for sure on my vehicle, which is a 2004 Ram Hemi Sport, but the rear fascia bracket that holds on the rear fascia SPORT trim will get in the way of the two bumper bolts that hold the hitch on. So i made a simple modification to the bracket by drilling two one inch holes in the bracket so the bracket would fir in the same place, and the bolts would protrude through the holes that were drilled. I have included pictures if you are willing to do this modification. I feel anyone with the mechanical ability to install this hitch should also be able to modify the rear fascia bracket in this manner or similar. 1. I marked the location of the receiver bolts with a white grease pencil 2. Drilled a 1 inch hole with a metal hole saw positioning the hole saw where it would drill to the top edge. 3. Repositioned the hole saw to take out the bottom edge 4. You can file this square, or on a bench grinder, grind both sides of the drilled opening square on the side of the grinder wheel. I just left as is since no one will be down there looking at it, and i do mean no one, not even me. With this simple two hole modification, the rear fascia SPORT trim still looks the same as if it hasn't even been touched. Without this two hole drilling modification, the receiver bolts will push out the rear fascia trim bracket, and the rear SPORT trim would look all twisted and funky. The modification works. The SPORT trim looks as it should and now I can use my 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi Sport to haul my utility trailer from a reasonably level position, with a 2 in. drop receiver, instead of a drastic incline from a ball in the rear bumper hole. I was told by some I would need to take the factory bumper off and put on a 300 dollar..... or more.... from some dealers a bumper hitch designed for the Hemi Sport instead of this 50 something dollar one that will fit with a simple modification........Well I understand where they are coming from. Everything is suppose to be a perfect bolt on right......? or it won't work......C'mon......whatever happened to Yankee Ingenuity......? Anyway the pics show what i had to do, and right out of the box i could tell this was a top quality hitch. The fit is perfect and the finish is one of the best I have seen on a hitch anywhere. It screams durability. Glad I made the purchase, and after my investigation as to why I was told it wouldn't fit my truck,I knew the simple modification was all the truck needed to make it work. Saved me 250 or so dollars and it works wonderfully.

Super easy install for 2007 Dodge Ram - but need a special tool
This hitch receiver is very high quality. Solid construction, nice big hardware, and very simple to install. I did the install by myself in under 30 minutes, but I did have to go to the hardware store to pick up the 1/2 inch Allen wrench which some others also did not have handy. The lack of this somewhat specialized tool is why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. I wish this tool came with the purchase to avoid finding one after the install was mostly complete. I just torqued the rear two nuts and will get to the main bolt before I tow anything. ProTip - if you don't have a buddy nearby, use a jack to hold the receiver in place while installing. I used a 2 1/2 ton floor jack which was obviously overkill, but it kept it in place while using the fish wire. I think on some trucks it may be more difficult than on the Ram, the tube that needs to be fished is really big so the coil easily goes through the back and up the sides, then you can put the coil through the plate and then torque the bolt into the coil, then pull the wire back through the tube. Don't release the coil off of the bolt too quickly though, just take two or three threads off and start to put the nut on, then carefully take off more threads of the coil as you spin the nut onto the bolt. If you drop that bolt you are going to have to drop the whole bumper frame off to get it out - not my idea of a good time. Luckily if you think it through, and pay attention (and watch the video on youtube if you still don't feel comfortable) it's really easy. Great product, great price. ****Update*** I called Curt Manufacturing regarding the torque values as the 250 lb-ft seemed high for the 3/4 inch bolt. It turns out in June they updated these values to be even higher! the 1/2 inch nuts should be torqued to 110 lb-ft and the 3/4 inch bolt should be torqued to 380 lb-ft!

Good hitch, unrealistic torque though!!!
This will fit a 2019 Ram Classic 1500 Warlock although it says it will not. First of all, it is made with good quality. The installation was super easy and if you don't understand the directions, there are several videos out there on YouTube to help out. However; the torque rating on this hitch is absurdly high 380 lbs for the M14 (main bolt) and 110lb (Two other bolts). I have a torque wrench that only goes to 150 lbs and I could not find any others that went higher than 250lbs. Using my wrench it was difficult to tighten the main bolt. I borrowed one from O'Reilly's near me and I couldn't even get the main bolt to 250lbs. As I started torquing it, the head where the hex socket goes started to strip out and so I stopped at about 200 lbs. I researched OEM hitch torque specs and they aren't even close to being this high. I called Curt and they said the torque the main bolt to 320lbs which is extremely difficult with the hex socket. All in all this hitch seems great, I'm not sure the torque specs are right though, seem really high.

Excellent choice
extra heavy duty, well built and easy to install. The only thing I would have prefer if it had a dust cover when not in use. probably took 30 minutes to install.
