No they are tied. I, however, always tie loose enough to slip on. Not perfect, but it does work. Because who had time to tie every tme? :)

Can't really say, but the toe box is different than most shoes. It is very wide, and doesn't taper in at the toe. I no longer get calluses and corns. And I've avoided surgery on my huge bunions.

dont know exact weight but not heavy this is the widest shoe I have ever seen. too wide for me. i sent them back to Amazon
