Very impressive!
This is the cheapest of the Tajima chalk lines with a plastic body single speed winder. Despite that the elastomer body looks like it will stand up to the general abuse that site kit is always subjected to. The tool is fairly large compared to my old Stanley cast aluminium chalk line, but that gives it greater chalk capacity - a bonus on larger jobs - and makes it easy to handle in rigger gloves. In comparison to the Stanley models the Tajima has a far higher quality braded line which generates a thin, black line - especially when used in conjunction with Tajima's chalk line dye. Tajima also make three different thicknesses of line as well, should you need extra thin or extra bold lines. The separate locking lever for the winder handle is an excellent idea that should be copied by others and the hook is both generous in size and robust. I'm so impressed that I'm going to buy an aluminium bodied double speed model as well so that I can have a second colour available

The string is very thin so makes a good thin accurate mark
Very well designed chalk line. The string is very thin so makes a good thin accurate mark, the line stop mechanism is smooth and holds the line well without being notchy. All in all its a good tool and if I lost it I would buy another just the same.

high quality tool
for only a bit more money this tool is by far the best chalk line i have used. sturdy , well designed and simple to use. highly recommended for any trades tool bag, it gives a clear sharp line without chalk spewing everywhere, has a locking mechanism which prevents it from snagging , great tool

Wow, this is the single best chaulk line i've ever used. So comfortable in the hand. The line is strong. It's thin but when you snap it, it leaves a really good line. A ton of chaulk doesnt come flying out when extending the line. It Winds fast. Super heavy feeling but that is quality its metal. Also tajima has the best metal hook for the end of the line.

Absolutely love this chalk box and would highly recommend it. It has an extremely durable braided line that makes crisp, clean chalk lines. The box itself is aluminum with a rubber grip/gasket. It is way better quality than anything that I've seen DeWalt or Irwin put out, that's for sure. I have a good feeling that this box will last me years.. I usually have to buy a new Irwin Speed Line every 5-6 months, and that's if I'm lucky that it lasts that long. The one and only thing that I do not like about this box is the hook. It's not the design, it's the material that it is made of. Like the box, the hook is also made of aluminum only a lot thinner, and It's not hard to bend the hook out of place. Fortunately though, you can use any hook you want, just swap it with something more durable, it'll work just the same. All in all, I give this box 9.5/10.

One of the best chalk lines I have bought yet!!! Can't complain about the price either considering it's well made!

Compared to the Milwaukee 1.5 mm bold this is noticeably thicker and in my opinion holds more chalk. The beast feature is reeling in the line and not getting stuck compared to the Milwaukee. Great product
