Works great but...
This works great but getting the lid to click on where it says click here was very difficult. It took me about 15 minutes of trying before realizing I had to push each side in a little to get them to click and then trying to keep those that were clicked to remain clicked while I snapped the rest in place was quite a task. I will probably look for one to replace this one that isnt so difficult to put together each time I clean and fill it.

Worst yet
This thing does not control flow and upon trying to get the lid to lock into place ( it must be hit into place on all four corners) I had a flood on my kitchen counter and floor. It literal rushes out the second you put it on the stand so over half the tank is gone just trying to seat it I to the bowl. There is no flow control flap or nozzle device. It is total gravity based so be quick to seat it on bowl stand.

Difficult to seal
Love the convenience of this unit. However to take it apart to clean daily and close the lid is a difficult task for me. I still use it daily but swear at it when sealing the air tight lid.

The lid requires you to...
Getting the lid on this suckered with it being full of water requires you to have 20 20 vision because you have to snap it exactly right - took me a minute and a flag light to see the words SNAP HERE. Definitely priced right though.

very good product
My 12 year old Pomeranian was recently diagnosed with diabetes and one of the symptoms is she stay thirsty so the average water bowl wasn't enough, I had to fill it so many times out the day that it was annoying me. With this gravity waterer she gets to drink all day with one fill in the morning and a fill at night. I highly recommend. I'm loving it so far.

I like it. My fur babies are ok with it.
It's simple. However, if you don't hold it carefully the water spills (so steady hands). The water doesn't evaporate as quickly as an open fountain. However, my babies prefer water from the fountain.

Good for the price.
I liked it better than my puppy because she could not spill the water on the floor!

Not as great as their Van Ness Feeder
To cut down on the sneaking around with big bottles of water and cat food, and far from our dogs prying eyes, I decided to invest in the least expensive auto-feeder and auto-waterer I could find for use with some stray cats I've somehow began feeding. The Van Ness products fit the bill in terms of comfortably priced, and the Van Ness feeder (sold seperately) is fantastic!! I love it. The cats love it too, and they go through the free-feeding pretty quickly.Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for this waterer. While it is sturdy enough (and contrary to other reviews, I have seen no tipping by the cats, whatsoever), the top and only closure on this Van Ness waterer is WAY, WAY too difficult to close after filling. You have to struggle with it and basically put it in a full jug lock to get it to close, and half the water goes everywhere. Pretty bad design - at least on the closure portion of it.Again, I really, really like their Van Ness auto feeder (for the price), so logically, I thought this would be just as good. Sadly, it's not even close.

Not bad...
It is difficult to get the lid on and off. Water has been spilt a few times. I would recommend doing this on a floor surface that is easy to wipe or, worse case senario, mop! It is also tricky when turning the water jug section upside down, you need to do this fast, as water will pour out otherwise. I do this bit with it in the bath tub. Once it is set up it works a treat and has allowed us to have a weekend away without worrying about our two furry monsters. We have Coonies so they tend to make a lot of mess when drinking as they sweep their paws across surface regularly, but the refilling mechanism works a treat and stops the bowl becoming full of debris from the tufty coonie paws! great stuff.

Good piece of kit to have to hand
Delivery was fast and reliable. Exactly as pictured. Used for my two cats. When I first set it up I wasn't quite sure how it worked. I filled the contanier with water, as I tipped it up a litte splashed out so do it over sink or something. I then tested it by scooping water out with spoon and eventually the inside bubbled up and more water poured out to re-fill. Does not overflow as once it's at the correct level to stop air getting in, the pastic pin-type thing stops the water flow. Good size. Decent piece of kit

Good product, good price.
I bought this when going away for a few days, it works and is fit for purpose and cheap! Very little evaporation as it's stored internally, works on gravity so it can't be blocked up. It can be a bit messy filling it as you have to flip it over and hope the bottom and top don't separete (reason it didn't get 5 stars), I have had wet feet on a few occasions. Now the only thing to do is get my cantankerous old flea bags to drink out of it instead of the muddy puddle and it's a winner.

does the job
I bought this for when we go away at weekends for my cat. it does the job nicely and my cat has no problems with using it. its very large and could hold enough water for a week, but im sure most cats would have problems with drinking a week old water so i wouldnt recommend it!!
