A very good read( I think I read it twice)
The author , Debra Holland, definitely has a way with words. Herdescriptions of the characters, their feelings, and even of the places are soclear.

Heartwarming outstanding read...love Debra, she is an outstanding author
It was truly heartbreaking to watch Harriet in the last story as well as this one watch the man she love fall for another and marry. I really adored her in both stories and was so glad to see her get a story of her own. It was wonderful watching her find the true man of her dreams.Ant is a wonderful man who has spent so many years looking for his nephew and the killer of his sister. He has had a very hard life, first his wife dies and then he walks in to find his sister dead. It was a pleasure watching him find them and put an end to his brother-in-law.It was a pleasure to watch him and Harriet fall in love and watch the trying time they had. The town is a wonderful place that I have grown to love over the last few books in this series. Some of the town people you will love but as in most towns there are the few you can't stand. As in all small towns everyone knows everyone's business it is just a great town all the way around. Debra puts so much thought into her stories as she gives you many twists and turns to make it a not only a wonderful read but and outstanding plot.David he broke my heart so much pain, sorrow and love there. To watch him come out of his shell was wonderful. I hope to see more of this family in Debra's books, it will be a pleasure to watch him grown and learn. I can only imagine what it must have been like for him to watch and see so much in his young life. The author paints a wonderful compelling story around him as she brings wonderful characters together to build a family with David. As always Natalie Ross does an outstanding job narrating. her many different voices she brings to her stories are wonderful. She is one of my favorite narrators, you know when you see her name it is going to be a wonderful listen. She paints a wonderful colorful story that the author writes. Making it one of the best audio's you will listen to.I have read or listen to many of Debra's books and each one is better than the last. She is truly a wonderful outstanding author and one of my favorites. I know when I pick up one of her books it is going to be a wonderful outstanding read or listen. She picks the best narrators and I know she will never let me down. I truly adore Debra Holland stories and can't wait for the next one.

Sweet, Terrifying, Loving
Sweet, Terrifying, Loving is how I describe the story of Harriet, Any & David. As any severely abused child can tell you, you erect walls around your soul to protect what the abuser cannot reach. It is sad to know the effects of violence visited up a child endure well into adulthood.Thank you Ms. Holland for writing what must have been a difficult story. It's good to bring it out into the light. Please read this book. Even today this kind of abuse still occurs. I know, because as a teacher I am aware of parent's complicity.Nonetheless I cannot comprehend how an adult can hurt a child.Be aware, listen, help to stop child abuse.

An okay--but not great--story
I read the first two books in the series before this third one, and all of them have been fairly entertaining and all had potentially good storylines. I think they could have been better, though, if there hadn't been so many stereotypical characters and if the stories had been a little better developed. I realize this is not a big deal to some people, but (and I have said this in other reviews) the book needs editing. I don't know if it is self-published or not, but in any case there are just too many mistakes, and to this reader those mistakes are distracting. There were many misused apostrophes and commas and spelling mistakes. The author continually used mantle instead of mantel, when referring to the mantel over a fireplace; especially in the early part of the book, she often referred to Ant Gordon's gravely voice when she clearly meant gravelly. But for me the worst thing--the thing that makes it hard to take the story seriously--is the main character's name. Ant as a nickname for Anthony? (I get that he was given that nickname in college as a joke about his size, but since Tony is a perfectly good nickname for Anthony and is the one most often used, why wouldn't he adopt that after college? Or just call himself Anthony?) Hearing him referred to as "Uncle Ant" (Uncle Aunt?) was just too ludicrous. How could you seriously call someone Ant? Picky? Maybe, but for me it detracted from the quality of the story.

Great read!
Really enjoyed this book in the series. The way Ant saves his nephew and Harriett brings him out of his shell of fear. Canโt wait to read the next one in the series.

Another flipping page turner wonderful book with excellent characters that draws and keeps you plast
ered until the last page! Ant, David and Harriet are the 3 top players! Uncle, nephew and school teacher! David is a tramatized boy who doesn't speak anymore and hasn't for a long time! His mother was murdered by his father and might have witnessed it? But the father has been very abusive before and after the murder of his wife but even worse afterwards! For 2 years there Ant thought David's father had died but he showed back up but I won't give up the secret, you'll have to read the book to find out what happens! THAT PART IS AN EDGE OF YOUR SEAT CLINCHER! GREAT READ!! GREAT BOOK!!

4.25 Stars
Whenever I can't find a book that interests me, I know I can always count on Western Historical Romances to get me out of a reader's slump. Ms Holland's "Stormy Montana Sky" definitely was a sweet and page turning story of Harriet and Ant. Fell in deep and didn't put the book down once while reading from beginning to end.

Pretty good.
I enjoyed the book for the most part. I did tire of Harriet "pining" for someone else's husband. I wanted to shake her and tell her to get over it! I liked David more than any other character. Such a sweet, sad little guy.
