I had a small travel pro that would fit in all overhead bins and had nice packing features. But it is held together with duct tape and it was time to get another small, lightweight carry on bag. This is the first time I've had 4 wheels and I like that it stands upright without falling over. It's about 1.5 pounds lighter and holds more if you utilize the space between the handle with socks, undies, and small items before you put a folder (I use the L size from EAgle creek) on top. Then fill the outer pocket with a 10x 14 soft packing cube or compression bag with tops, pj's, athletic wear, etc. Also could pack an umbrella and flip flops in last minute in the outside compartment. I bought the 22 inch Expanse for my husband. It is not much more in width and height but is 9 inches deep instead of 8. We will see how they compare when we pack for a 10 day Europe trip. The packing box from EC was extremely sturdy and protective. The customer service team is great too.
