Optimal Care in Childbirth: The Case for a Physiologic Approach
D**.
Overly dogmatic
My understanding is that this book is often used as a text for nursing and midwifery students. This being the case, I don't think you have to "make the case" for a physiologic (less invasive) approach to maternity care. These people are already in favor of a less invasive approach to maternity care. I don't necessarily think that MD's or medical students are going to read this text and have a revelation and change of mind. I think that several pages (perhaps even a hundred or so) could have been eliminated, the flow improved and the book much more enjoyable to read. As is the book is long and cumbersome.
