Crayola Scribble Scrubbie Safari 2 Pack Animal Toy Set Age 3+ , Zebra/Bird

I read a lot of reviews that said the color does not come off. I read that it made stains. I was worried about this purchase, but it was something my 7 yr old really wanted. So, I gave it a shot. It has turned out great. She has colored and recolored and played independently with the zebra and the bird. She loves it and I watched as she washed them anticipating a problem. It washed clean and she started again. I'm a shopper that always reads reviews, but the poor reviews did not pan out when my 7 yr old played with this product. Glad we purchased as she really wanted this for her birthday and t turned out to work great. We will probably have to look into getting additional markers as she has really used these. I went ahead and ordered another set and now she has the 6 colors and has used both sets over and over. Great purchase for us.

Update: I purchased the starter Safari set in December and at least they have made it, for the most part, with some or most of the washable “fur” left in them. For her birthday 2/15 I finished out the Safari set from Amazon & purchased another pet starter set from a different retailer & both sets are peeling down to the plastic after 2 weekends of play. She loves these but I won’t be purchasing more.. as you can see from the photos 2 weekends and they are literally peeling to pieces. I have followed the same directions for cleaning them as directed in the package. Crayola you can do better than this My granddaughter (5) really wanted these for Christmas, in fact it was the only gift she opened where she squealed with glee. We bought the initial set & one add-on set for the Safari series. We have ordered the rest of the series for her birthday next weekend. These sets are great for kids who love to color & make unique designs-they really inspire creativity. The hours she has spent playing with them make them a Bargain! Cons: 1. I wish they came with more colors because I haven’t been able to find the extra easy washable Crayola markers & have been afraid to use her regular Crayola washable markers because I’m afraid they won’t wash off. 2. Even at almost 6 my granddaughter needs help getting them totally clean. Reading through reviews I found this was typical and some people use a little bit of rubbing alcohol- I found that a small drop of Dawn regular dishwashing soap did the trick -even after the colors were on for a week. If you are having difficulty getting the “shower” to work - remove the scrubbier brush from the stand and fill that section with water and pump until the shower is working. I highly recommend Scribble Scrubbie sets for any kids who love to color and they spark imagination. I am not hesitant to purchase the rest of the Safari set and hope she finds another set she likes .
